Attached is letter dated February 10th sent to the Mr*** (referred to as "customer") outlining details of events that happened regarding the installation of a
water softener installed at the customer's home on January 14,
We have acknowledged to the customer that during the installation of the water softener there was some damage to the exterior wall and have responded to Mr***'s complaints including sending out a licensed contractor to perform repairs. We also informed the customer, at the time, that we would hold all charges until repairs were completedAs of the date of this e-mail we have still not requested payment until receiving confirmation that a box was installed in the front of the house by the old main waterline as agreed upon by our contractorIt must be noted that this was not part of the original purchase order, but was suggested by the customer after damage to his wall. If there have been any issues, we have addressed then and taken care of immediately
In regards to the issue of " questioning the integrity of family...", when Mr*** said we turned off a valve supplying water to his refrigerator, I merely stated what my people told me that they observed the valve closed at time of installationI never said or inferred that the customer was a liar. It is our company's policy that if they see a valve closed, they are to leave it as they found unless instructed by the customerAt the time of the installation (January 14) when Mr*** arrived home, he was extremely upset regarding the damage to his wall and also with water that was on the floor in his garage in area where pipes were disconnected and new plumbing was connected
In my view, this accounts for some things that were not completed or addressed the day of the installationThere obviouly was a breakdown in communication
Since then, we have made a sincere effort to correct any complaints the customer has had including a call to Mr*** on February soliciting any unresolved issuesThis resulted in a service call the next day to secure some piping in his yard that he said we had not completed
To my understanding, the only outstanding issue is completion of the box (as stated above) and are waiting for confirmation from our contractor, which as been delayed due to his schedule
