I won the car on ebay advertised with NoReserve. Ray sent me bank payment detais,next day cancelled the purchase and listed the car for more money. Ray advertised a 1940 Ford two door sedan for sale on ebay with No Reserve and No Restriction of sale to any country. Ebay item No;XXXXXXXXXXXX.I won the auction bidding $5100 (copy ebay message XXXXXXXXXXXX) $5,100.00). On the 28th September, When I won the auction Ray sent me his phone number and I called his straight, he was happy to sell me the car and keep it for any length of time required before shipping to me as he had a huge side facility, I told him I would arrange my shipper to contact him and the car would be moved out promptly, perhaps a week.Ray emailed me his banking details for transfer of funds which I received the following morning (29 Sept) I had told him I would transfer the money that afternoon after bank details were obtained and my shipper would contact him to make sure he supplied a Car Title and Bill of Sale.I had spoken with my shipper and he stated he had contacted Ray and everything was in order for payment. I was returning to the office in the early afternoon to make payment when I received an email (via ebay) from Ray stating he was cancelling my purchase as this was too complicated, Ray's email;"My account states that I do not sell to Australia. This sale is getting bogged down with middle men. I discussed the sale with you, and nothing has happened. I asked for you, to call, when the bank transfer was made. You have not.I do not wish this transaction to drag out any longer, and I wish to cancel the sale to you , as I feel I will have to wait to long for the money , with all of the country money transfer rules and paperwork, as well as you prolonging shipping arrangements." Thank You, Ray's Hot Rod Garage- rayshotrodgarageI have the original advert that does not mention not selling the car to any one overseas, The day after Ray accepting the purchase bid I was paying for the car with a back transfer that he agreed to, it may have taken two days for him to receive the bank tranfer, the car would have been picked up from his premises within the week which is not unreasonable.The following day after he cancelled my purchase he relisted the car for sale on ebay for $7200, this time with his advert he states he will sell to United States. When first talking to Ray he told me he had previously sold the car on ebay for $6000 but the purchaser pulled out of the deal, understandably he was not happy about that.Ray and I entered into a purchase contract by him accepting the winning bid on ebay, he verbally agreed to this, sending me his back details for transfer of funds that was to occur the following afternoon as I had told him the day before.Given all these facts, I believe he merely wanted more money that what the car sold for with 'No Reserve', he was looking to receive near the $7000 he readvertised the car for. I am available to answer any questions and attach any advertisements' to support my complaint.Sincerely,[redacted]Desired SettlementI would prefer for the seller to comply with the sale as originally agreed to, however I don't believe this will be possible as the car will be sold to someone at sometime prior to this complaint being acted upon. I am not sure what penalties Revdex.com can impose, but I do believe that given his purchase practice he is untrustworthy and some business penalty should be imposed so others are aware of his behaviour.To the, Revdex.com,and whom it may concern: We were contacted by a client, to consign a vehicle to sell, on Ebay. The vehicle was listed. Our ad clearly states that we do not sell to Australia. (see the actual ad description) This [redacted], aka. [redacted] illegally bid on the item, against Ebay rules. He is from [redacted] We notified Ebay of the infraction, and also the jeopardizing of the final sale, to the proper buyers, allowed by us, on that site.(see our definitive selection, of whom we sell to, included in our accounts, rules and regulations, with our ebay sales agreement, included) After being notified by Ebay, [redacted], aka. [redacted] again, refused to acknowledge Ebay's rules, and threatened us with libelous remarks. Ebay was notified of this, and again,[redacted], aka, [redacted] refused to respond to Ebays, numerous notifications, regarding this matter. After a very thorough review of this case, Ebay notified us, that they cancelled the sale, and put the [redacted] on notice, and returned our sellers fees . After many messages, via ebay's message system, [redacted], threatened to, physically, stop by our shop and get even. [redacted], also illegally coerced from our company staff, our bank information, unaware of his location and reputation. A second party, directed by him, contacted our company, stating that the bill of sale should be made out to them, and we responded, that the sale was voided, and against all of Ebay's rules and regulations. Ebay, considers this case closed, (see the included sheet) and ruled in our favor. We will not be intimidated by these people, who continually make rule infractions and threats to our business. Worcester Police will be notified of this attempt to discredit our reputation, and well being. If needed, a restraining order will be placed on these people.
