Victor came into the store looking for a copy of a receipt for a pair of earrings that he said were purchased 4-5 years ago from this store. We checked our computer to see if we could find a record of the purchase under his name and nothing showed up in our system. At that point, I offered to...

check the computer under a different name and he stated that it would only be under his name. Once I realized that there was no record in the system, I informed [redacted] that I would be happy to search manually if he could somehow get me a date of purchase from his credit card company or even narrow the date down to the month of purchase. [redacted] was not happy with this and started acting extremely rude to me and my staff. He insisted that I was obligated to make up a receipt for him even if I couldn't find one. I obviously informed him that I could not do this because I could not be sure that the purchase was made in this store. His behavior only became more and more aggressive towards my staff and I. I asked him to calm down but he proceeded to start yelling in the store and making threats. It was only at this point that I "kicked him out of the store" by POLITELY asking him to leave because there was obviously nothing more I could do for him. He refused to leave until I was forced to call the police. Once he saw that I called the police, he walked out of the store and was screaming outside that we had somehow "robbed him". When the police came, I allowed him to speak with them outside first and then when the officers came into the store, I explained the above to them. During my explanation to the police, [redacted] started making threats towards me again until the officer had to warn him to stop. As I explained to [redacted] as he was leaving, we are always happy to help our customers in any way possible, and we are still willing to help, but without more information that can direct us to the date of purchase, it will be impossible for us to provide him with anything

[redacted] very disrespectfully and incorrectly accuses us of lying in his latest response to the Revdex.com. While he may very well have called the police also, all we said in our last response was that WE called the police, which is 100% accurate.   I also think it is telling that [redacted] does not deny the fact that he was yelling and screaming in the store in a very threatening manner, and continued his threatening behavior in front of the police, who had to warn him to stop at risk of arrest. All of this because he wanted a receipt written for something that was in perfect condition and free of defects of any kind.   We have been in business for over 40 years, and as your records will show, we have had close to ZERO complaints in that time. The reason for this is that our business was founded on the foundation of customer service and customer satisfaction.   The unfortunate facts in this case are that [redacted] is asking for something that we simply cannot legally provide. We are not confirming or denying that the earrings he purchased 4-5 years ago came from our store. The fact is that we just don't know because our computer shows no record of [redacted] ever making a purchase in the store. He also was unable to provide any proof of purchase or even a date of purchase that he should be able to easily get from his credit card company.   When we couldn't find him in the computer, we offered to search manually for him if he could just give us a date (or even month) of purchase to narrow down the search.   Unfortunately, [redacted] is asking for us to provide him with a receipt saying that he purchased a pair of earrings from our store even though there is absolutely no evidence that he made the purchase here. That is simply not legal or ethical for us to do.   It is also bears repeating, that [redacted] is not claiming that there is anything wrong with the earrings, even 4-5 years from the purchase date. He simply needs a receipt for personal reasons. What is so frustrating is that if [redacted] would stop and consider the situation for a moment, he might realize there is absolutely NO reason in the world why we would deny his request for any other reason than the reason we gave him.   Finally, as I mentioned in my last response, we are always ready and willing to help any customer to the best of our ability, but it seems at this point like [redacted] is only interested in slandering our good name, which is very unfair to do any upstanding business.   Again, if there is anything further that the Revdex.com thinks should be done or could be done to aid [redacted] in his request, I would be happy to hear any and all suggestions, but if not I would hope that we could close this matter.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

They are lying as I am the one wh call the police regarding their behavior. Am sure my 911 call is on record. This proof that this people are lying as they are not telling the truth about this event. I know I purchase this earrings in that store. Very bad customer service and when they start to apply I didn't buy the earring in that store that when I got agitated. They should be ashamed. Thanks Revdex.com

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
