the treatment for the Oak gall was clearly stated on the estimate to help suppress.it also did not state they would be gone, a gall becomes part of the tree when it is formed and over time they may fall off if the tree cuts them off from its system but they will not just go away quickly. It is true that new ones may form since it is caused by an out side source. The service was performed as suggested.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The oak tree has nearly as many galls as before we paid $405.  We understood that it wouldn't be completely bare of them, but the number remaining on the tree is ridiculous for the amount of money we spent to have this tree "saved."  This treatment is a scam.  We've been informed that the tree will continue to generate galls until the tree finally dies.  The other issues were taken care of after WAY too many phone calls trying to get the work finished, rather than in a professional and timely manner.  We started the entire work order on MARCH 9, 2017, and it was not "completed" until AUGUST 1, 2017.  This was only after repeated calls, showing horrible customer service, as the calls were transferred to several different people who supposedly knew nothing about the issues nor the previous phone calls.  When we asked about a discount to compensate us for the inconveniences and horrid customer service, it was ignored, just like most of the phone calls I had made over the summer trying to get the work finished.    We are not asking for a refund for the work that was FINALLY completed, but feel justified in expecting a refund of $405 for the oak gall "treatment" since the oak galls have not lessened to the degree we were assured they would.  We should not have to pay for this bogus treatment.
Sincerely,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that the...

promised resolution ito be satisfactory with the strong stipulation that if  the business does not perform the spraying of the tree as promised and appropriately, and fails to take maesures not to push existing gum balls into the lawn by laying plywood and running truck on lawn, I will file another complaint. I trust however their action this season will resolve my complaint. I have removed most of the gum balls fromthe lawn but they cntinue to fall. That work represents at least 8 hours of my time thus far.
Sincerely,

On June 3, 2015 we received a call from [redacted] who requested an estimate to repair the broken branches in the pear...

tree, next to the street. I met with Mrs. [redacted] on June 8, 2015 to look at the tree. The broken branches had already been hauled away. The only remaining damage was the jagged stubs in the tree where the two branches were broken off and ripped the bark. I gave Mrs. [redacted] a bid to repair the broken branch stubs.
On August 14, 2015 Mrs. [redacted] signed off on the bid and authorized [redacted]'s Tree and Lawn to do the work for the quoted price of $120.00. On September 2, 2015 a crew of 2 men went to the home of Mrs. [redacted] and performed the work that was listed on the bid.
After the work was completed, I received a message from Mrs. [redacted] asking me to contact her. I called Mrs. [redacted]. She said that she was not happy with the work the men had done. I told Mrs. [redacted] that I would come by and inspect the work. We arranged a time to meet and I met with Mrs. [redacted] at the designated time. I inspected the work that the men had done and told her that the men had done the best that they could with the jagged stub and the ripped bark. She said that she expected the area where the branches were broken and had ripped the bark to be smooth and flush. I explained to her that there are correct and incorrect ways to remove branches. I explained to her that what she was wanting to do is called "Flush cutting" and would do more harm to the tree (per ANSI A300 pruning standards). After several attempts to explain this to Mrs. [redacted] and answering her questions, I thought she had an understanding of why the branches were pruned the way they were and how it was better for the tree. That was until Mrs. [redacted] called the office manager, some time later, and complained about how the tree was trimmed.
Based on Mrs. [redacted]'s questions and remarks it's clear that she has a very limited knowledge of tree physiology and proper pruning techniques. I am a ISA Certified Arborist with 37 years of experience.

As you can tell from the customers notes that attempts where made to rectify there dissatisfaction. We did return to remove more dead wood after it was evident that some branches did not leaf out in the spring. Also on there estimate it clearly states that the tree injection and the fungicide spray...

where cone to help suppress the conditions in the trees and where not complete control as is will all treatments for landscapes. There is also a healing time that is needed for injections trees take some time and if the health of the tree is not optimal as these where under stress it will take longer

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
We were led, by the salesman, [redacted] to believe that MOST of the galls would fall off AND this would extend the life of the tree.  The tree is still very full of the galls, and the life of the tree has not been extended enough to warrant paying $405.  The statements made by [redacted] were misleading and the treatment is a money making scam because I'd said we wanted to save the tree, if possible.  This injection does Not extend the life of the tree, only lessens or "suppresses" the number of galls.  Since this complaint was filed, we've found out that the injection doesn't even protect it from further galls growing "because it is caused by an outside source."  We were told the treatment would last two years, as shown on the bid, but were led to believe that the residual effects of the injection would last much longer.  We were taken advantage of because we have concern for the old oak tree and wanted to extend the tree's life. We should receive a full refund for the bogus, money-making scam that this is, taking advantage of people who want to save their trees. This is a shameful way to do business. Also, the fact that it took almost FIVE MONTHS to finish the work, with MULTIPLE phone calls requesting the work be completed is also an atrocious level of business.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
