Getting tired of these disingenuous claimsHave arranged a meeting with the current resident of the property to ascertain the nature of the alleged roof issueI'm certain Mr [redacted] is aware of thisBetween the untrue representation of the facts in these complaints and the threats I'm growing tiredI want what they want, an end to issues and problems

Although I don't agree with the complaint as written I do acknowledge an issue existed that was not a result of our roof installationI did in fact meet with her on one occasion and stated my opinion on siding being the culpritWe made two appointments one which didn't work for the client and one I could not makeLast week attempted to make another appointment to see roof and I was informed the problem had been remediedThe client reiterated that the issue was roof related and would be sending me pictures to this affectI have yet to receive them as I doubt the issue was roof related

I am rejecting this response because: There were many instances he didn't show up to scheduled appointments, none of which were due to my cancelling other than when he'd leave a voicemail late at night, hoping I'd be available early the next morning for his arrival, which wouldn't happen anyway Last year, he said he would be back to inspect the roof, but wouldn't fix it until the end of summer since it was his busy season and his crews were tied up installing new roofs and dedicating a crew to repair mine wouldn't be cost effectiveThey never showed up and he never came back or even returned my callsI have the pictures and comments from the roofer who did the repair and will send them to him now However, I doubt he will take any responsibility for this, since he has never conceded that this was a bad install There was never an issue with the roof prior to him replacing it, yet he continues to insist it's the siding I'm assuming he must be in the siding business as well I've attached the pictures and comments from the roofer who made the repair as well as his invoice of $1,400, which I believe [redacted] should reimburse me for since the material and labor are well within the warranty, however he simply didn't want to return to fix it

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I know...

for a fact my son in law tried numerous times and left numerous messages with the owner, [redacted] and he never responded... I would like him to finally call my son in law back to set up for him to come out.. I also had a issue with the skylights he installed and they were damaged either by him or upon delivery, but he told my son in law he filed a claim to replace the part and never came back. My son in law contacted him and was told he had the part and was to busy to come fix it at the time and that was 8 months ago... He never called back to perform repairs... He has his number to schedule.. I will give him this opportunity to fix the problem 1 more time

I am aware of only on other leak completely separate from skylights roof that we repaired. we are more than happy to respond and repair an existing leak. they simply have to call and arrange an appointment. I will await a call. [redacted]

Review: [redacted] and his crew were hired to remove excess snow and ice from our roof in February 2014. We paid $300 for half of roof, which included our sunroom roof.

We could have a cheaper company, but chose RBM believing in their reputation.

Two days after the service, the roof started leaking quite a lot.

We found many chipped roof shingles below the roof, indicating that RBM guys were in a rush to do the job and didn't use proper caution

so as not to damage the roof.

After numerous calls to [redacted] and numerous promises to come and fix the issue, we are still dealing with a huge leak in our sunroom.

I have tried reaching out to RBM again and [redacted] just hung up on me!!!

I would urge anyone to stay away from this dishonest business!

We paid for a service and ended up with p[redacted]lems that didn't even exist before this service… what a nightmare!Desired Settlement: Repair the damage fully in a timely manner.

Response:

To whom it may concern,

We did remove snow from their roof. We did respond several times in person to residence after complaint of damage was made. Although the issue had nothing to do with our company, we made a temporary repair. I the owner followed up after a heavy rain storm couple days later with a telephone call and were assured repair we provided GRATIS worked. This couple will call constantly, first husband then wife then mother in law then husband and so on. The last CALLS received were this past Saturday and after explaining to husband I needed to call him back he pressed and I arranged to stop by yet again on Monday "today". Moments after hanging up the wife called I apologized for not being able to talk said I would call back. when I called back I spoke with husband. This complain angers me to say the least. They have distorted all the facts even the amount paid at original meeting for a service we did provide and provided well. I am at this point washing my hands of this couple, we have them scheduled in 1 hour to go there to provide more good will toward this couple. I am cancelling and washing my hands of this fiction.

I am rejecting this response because:

The person who responded to this complaint is making false statements.

He never called back.

He hung up on me.

He made promises to set up an appointment to fix the damage and never followed through.

The only time he came back was once, right after the initial complaint.

At that time, he admitted that damage was likely due to his team's actions as there was no evidence of a previous leak.

At that same visit, he also did a temporary fix by putting a shingle (without affixing it to the roof) in an attempt to remediate the leak.

I was asked to call him back soon and report with results (whether the leak stopped).

I was promised that a proper fix and a proper color shingle will be installed in the next 2 weeks.

[redacted] never followed through and, in fact, hung up on me (Not at all "politely" as he claims) as soon as he heard who is calling.

This whole story has being dragged on and on by [redacted], with the latest news I have received from him by email being that he will

not be coming back to fix anything and stating that his company had nothing to do with installation of our roof.

I have a contract that proves RBM General Contracting installed our roof seven years ago (strange that they would deny that, too!).

Actually, this is yet another point to show how false this company's statements are.

Roof installation was the reason why we asked [redacted] to come and do snow removal at a price above market.

We wanted someone with good reputation to perform the difficult job of careful snow removal.

Instead, we got ourselves a leaking roof and a very well-spoken owner/founder of RBM trying to make a fool out

of yet another customer (there were some claims on Revdex.com against RBM prior to mine).

Here is [redacted]'s email to me (first and only email, sent in response to me informing them of my Revdex.com complaint):

[redacted] <[redacted]>May 20 (2 days ago)to me

Perhaps you didn’t read my response to your Revdex.com complaint. <<< Unfortunately, I didn't get an email from Revdex.com about this response.

I responded several times as you IN FACT are aware of regardless of your false claims in your Revdex.com complaint. <<< Not true, I was able to get [redacted] in the phone, but he only promised to call/come later, and never did.

We did not install YOUR roof there is no record of us working for you other than removal of snow from your roof. <<< False again. I am providing the copy of original Invoice, fully paid, for the roof installation.

We did not rush through your roof snow removal IN FACT we cleared your extremely long walk to the front door and steps our compliments. <<< Chips of shingles in the snow are proof of hasty/bad job, as is the leak!

You have misrepresented RBM ROOFING and the FACTS! I have spent all the time I am going to with this. Best of Luck <<< I have been patiently waiting (since February) for [redacted] to come and do what he promised.

<<< Complaint is my last resort.

<<<I am also attaching pics of shingles that were chipped away during snow removal. THere were many more found, once the snow melted. But, even before the leak happened,

I saw that one portion of the roof had a jagged edge after snow removal (see pics). I was hoping it was OK, but then the leak started!

Even now, I hope that RBM in the face of [redacted] will come to his senses and will do what he promised: fix the damage.

It is really bad karma to make a fool out of naive and trusting customers.

[redacted] is capable of making you feel reassured and is very well-spoken, but I understood that his promises were false when he hung up on me.

And, for the record, not even once he himself called anybody in my family. I can pull phone records to prove this if needed.

Regards,

Review: We had an entire brand new roof and skylights installed by RBM in the spring of 2007. Over the last year and a half to two years the roof has had various leaks which have damaged walls, ceilings, etc. I called RBM dozens of times, left messages on their office machine, and no one returned my call. Finally, in early spring of last year, I located the owner's cell phone and contacted him. He assured me he would come out to look at the roof, but simply made appointments and broke them or didn't show up at all. While the roof continued to damage my home, I contacted another roofer who came to take a look and he advised me to have the company who installed it come back because it was a new roof and he wouldn't touch it. Finally, after many more calls, RBM took a few more weeks to 'find the time because it was spring and they were installing a lot of roofs.' When he finally did arrive, he said he didn't think it was the roof, flashing, or skylights that were leaking, but he would come back with a crew when they weren't so busy. He never showed. After another winter, I called dozens of times again, and again got the run around, but he never showed this time at all. I sent an email saying if he picked a day I'd be sure to be home. He never responded. I never had a problem with the roof leaking BEFORE he replaced it. I want to put my house on the market, but clearly can't with water damaged drywall, leaking skylights, rotting wood, and a bad roof.Desired Settlement: I need this roof repaired ASAP so the damaged parts of the interior of the house can be repaired. If RBM is not willing to stand behind their work and product, which both the labor and materials are under warranty, then I will need to have another roofer repair it and expect RBM to pay the bill.

I've attached the pictures and comments from the roofer who made the repair as well as his invoice of $1,400, which I believe [redacted] should reimburse me for since the material and labor are well within the warranty, however he simply didn't want to return to fix it.
