Again I will state that we verbally agreed on the price of $1,This was rough in a new tub and shower valveDemo out tile in wall for new mixing valveRemove existing plumbing fixtures and valves and cap off existing waste and water lines Install return trip to trim new tub and shower valve as agreedWe informed owner off rotted stud in wallOwner wanted a finish date to install new fixtures.Never heard from owner about removing existing new valve to repair more wall rotwe would have done that for him.he called to arrange date to set finish he needed it done asap before the holidays we re schedule other customersto fit him in.He then called and cancelled usHe never gave me the chance to finish the job or kept me informed about what was going onWe would never have started this work for him if he did not agree on the price.It seems like he wanted this job done very fasthe claims he was miles awayMaybe he should have hired a gc rather then trying to gc it himself

*** *** should not have attempted to install ANYTHING in the tub wall As indicated, the inner wall needed repair work first but he NEVER "made me aware" (as he says) of this problem and I'm miles away in New Hampshire He simply wanted to finish the job in any manner so he could cash the $llcheck that he demanded I leave for him before my return to New Hampshire His only answer was to install valve and piping directly into rotted wood and call it a finished job In his response, *** *** insists that portions of our agreement did not exist He says this now because he could not complete the job until repair was done I challenge *** *** to show exactly what he did for $(that's almost full days labor @ $per hour allowing $for materials) My answer: He lifted fixtures, Cost: $ His improper tub work was removed before repair began, and then properly reinstalled per my receipts from: *** ***, $- ** ** *** ***, $- *** Shower Fixture, $- *** Sink Faucet, $- *** Vanity Sink, $89.l

we had a agreed upon price of $1,150.00 to install new shower valve system. Price included fixtures and capping waste and water lines, removing tiles on wall. installing new mixing valve. Price was agreed at $1,150.00. Price did not include installation of plumbing fixtures. Installation of...

plumbing fixtures were to be done at a later date. Fixtures were to be installed at an extra cost as agreed upon and made clear to customer. Installation of shower was completed and upon opening of the wall we found rotted out studs and made the customer aware of this. We were waiting to hear back from the customer to put back the trim and finish plumbing. Then heard back from customer and he complained that it was our fault that we put the valve in and the stud was rotted. He then did not agree on the cost for us to price to finish the trim and finish plumbing. We had a verbal contract no written contract. There was no misunderstanding in work done and to be done he just was not happy with the price. I have been in business since 1989 and never have had a complaint or any claims against me or my business. He had and old bathroom that needed a lot more work than he expected or wanted to do.

In response to Mr. [redacted]'s phone call to the Revdex.com on 4/7/16.... I NEVER lied to him. As verbally discussed we agreed and he paid the price of $1,150.00.  I also did advise him of rot on one stud.  As stated he agreed on the price and paid the agreed price.  We explained to him verbally that there would be an additional charge to re-install the toilet and sink. Then we discussed by phone the additional charge to install the plumbing fixtures.  Then I did NOT hear from him. He then called me and cancelled and stated that he got someone else to finish the job. He NEVER stated or advised me of any added carpentry work that would have needed to be done . If the carpenter needed the valve to be removed we would have done that for him but we never heard back from him. The only call back I received was from Mr. [redacted] was that he got someone else to finish the job. Mr. [redacted] created his situation. He NEVER once mentioned any of this. If he just kept us informed and advised us of any of this we would have gladly and quickly went back. He is blaming me for his mistake of miscommunication.
