Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [I never said there was vibration before, I brought my car in for new tires and you were told that also, there were no problems with my car before the new tires I came in for new tires that is all, I was told that old tires wear to rims and that is laughableI did say that there was vibration years ago and it was the drive train which was replaced and the problem fixed, years agoThe only reason that was brought up was because your company couldn't tell me the problem, one employee said it could be the drive train and you were told it was replaced years agoWhen I called the last time I said I wanted to use my 65,mile warranty, I wasn't allowed toNot until I called Firestone was I aware of a day ride and try and when I called and said I wanted to use the warranty I was then told that "that won't fix your rims." I was then asked what tires I had in mind, I tell him and he tells me I dont have those I have these, I then ask whats the price difference on those, he looks it up, tells me the difference and says I'll have to order themHe just told me he didn't have the ones I was looking for and that he had these and is now telling me he has to order themThen why wouldn't you suggest ordering the ones I wanted and why tell me you have those when you didn't?! At this point I'm done, I am not bringing my car back to your company so I didn't have the tires that your company wanted me to use orderedI take my car to Firestone, have new tires put on and rebalanced and alignedIt didn't need to be aligned with the new tires on and when you had my car it had to be aligned and rebalanced every time I brought it back inFirestone also told me that each tire had oz of weights on or more than neededI have not had vibration since taking it to Firestone, didn't have vibration before taking it to youWas the problem the tires? which your employees told me it wasn't the tiresWas it my rims? Seeing that there is absolutely no vibration now and I have the same rims and new tiresOr was it that your company didn't balance the tires right? Seeing that the tires were balanced with oz or more than neededYou can say it's the rims, but they are balanced now, no vibration and it didn't take Firestone "chasing weights" as you said to balance themYou weren't slandered, you rebalanced and aligned my car multiple timesIn days you had my car for 5, the issue was never fixedTo solve the issue a respectable company would of said, this wasn't a problem before these tires you have a day warranty lets swap them and see if that works, especially since I asked to use my 65,mile warranty before I knew about the day, instead of having me bring it back over and over and you blame it on my car when it was not an issue before brought to your company Regards, [redacted]

[redacted], we do not dispute that there is a vibration issue. After having the tires installedBy us you came back complaining of a vibration. I was present and asked you some qualifiers. You said that there was a vibration prior that the  a dealership could not rectify. After rebalancing the...

tires several times we were still getting a intermittent vibration at varying speeds. We did note that all 4 rims had  hops/bends in them which I personally witnessed as they were on our balancer. We felt that this was contributing to your vibration. Many alloy wheels have hops to them over time and translate through the vehicle differently so we couldn't condemn the wheels. However having balanced them several times and getting different results each time we felt that the wheels/rims were a likely culprit being that there was vibration before and after tire replacement..you did say that you went to another shop and they told you it was the tires, when we asked how they determined that the tires were bad you stated to our service manager that the shop accelerated the vehicle on a rack with the wheels jacked up and saw the tires hopping..we then told you that this is not an acceptable way to determine runout on a tire wheel assembly. You were invited back to our shop to see what we were seeing and refused to do so. Also you asked us to honor our 30 day ride guarantee and reorder different tires which we were willing to do, but you told our service Manager to hold off on ordering. Over 30 days has gone by and the only thing that we heard from you was your negative comments about us on social media. Also the claim that we let you leave in an unsafe vehicle and did not try to rectify the situation is false. We had your vehicle in several times and tried in good faith to fix the problem. Although I can understand your frustration you are the one that pulled away from the dialogue. And decided to to slander us on social media. We feel that this has run its course and we cannot do anything more for you.Sincerely, [redacted]manager Tires Plus of Kenosha.

I remember this exchange very well, since I was the one helping Ms. [redacted]. We were very busy and gave her our best estimated time of completion however we did exceed the estimated completion time due to a high volume of service being performed that day. Ms. [redacted] was...

visibly annoyed with the situation and was told we are proceeding as quickly as possible. when I told her that there was a nail in the tire she did not believe me and requested to go in the shop and see for herself. she was escorted back and was shown the tire that we were repairing and also questioned the tech. regarding the repair. the tire was repaired in accordance with T.I.A. (tire industry association) standards at no charge to the customer. the residue which Ms. [redacted] is referring to is bead sealant which is water soluble. this should have been cleaned off better and for that I apologize.Sincerely, [redacted], Store Manager

[I have no need to contact you. Firestone put on a different set of tires, balanced and checked alignment. Nothing was done to my car other than that. I have no problems with my car after taking it to them, when all I had was problems after taking it to you. Taking it to your business was a complete waste of money and made my vehicle unsafe.

[I never said there was vibration before, I brought my car in for new tires and you were told that also, there were no problems with my car before the new tires I came in for new tires that is all, I was told that old tires wear to rims and that is laughable. I did say that there was vibration 4 years ago and it was the drive train which was replaced and the problem fixed, 4 years ago. The only reason that was brought up was because your company couldn't tell me the problem, one employee said it could be the drive train and you were told it was replaced 4 years ago. When I called the last time I said I wanted to use my 65,000 mile warranty, I wasn't allowed to. Not until I called Firestone was I aware of a 30 day ride and try and when I called and said I wanted to use the warranty I was then told that "that won't fix your rims." I was then asked what tires I had in mind, I tell him and he tells me I dont have those I have these, I then ask whats the price difference on those, he looks it up, tells me the difference and says I'll have to order them. He just told me he didn't have the ones I was looking for and that he had these and is now telling me he has to order them. Then why wouldn't you suggest ordering the ones I wanted and why tell me you have those when you didn't?! At this point I'm done, I am not bringing my car back to your company so I didn't have the tires that your company wanted me to use ordered. I take my car to Firestone, have new tires put on and rebalanced and aligned. It didn't need to be aligned with the new tires on and when you had my car it had to be aligned and rebalanced every time I brought it back in. Firestone also told me that each tire had 2 oz of weights on or more than needed. I have not had vibration since taking it to Firestone, didn't have vibration before taking it to you. Was the problem the tires? which your employees told me it wasn't the tires. Was it my rims? Seeing that there is absolutely no vibration now and I have the same rims and new tires. Or was it that your company didn't balance the tires right? Seeing that the tires were balanced with 2 oz or more than needed. You can say it's the rims,  but they are balanced now, no vibration and it didn't take Firestone "chasing weights" as you said to balance them. You weren't slandered, you rebalanced and aligned my car multiple times. In 6 days you had my car for 5, the issue was never fixed. To solve the issue a respectable company would of said, this wasn't a problem before these tires you have a 30 day warranty lets swap them and see if that works, especially since I asked to use my 65,000 mile warranty before I knew about the 30 day, instead of having me bring it back over and over and you blame it on my car when it was not an issue before brought to your company.
