Review: I was a client with Giulia M[redacted], at RE/MAX, and broker Cinthiaw W[redacted], wanting to buy a home in Maryland back in April 2014. During that time, I put an offer in on house number one and earnest money of $5,000 and it did not work out because of structural issues. On house number two, I put earnest money of $2,750 in the process of exchanging of the earnest money from one place to another place that took less than seven days. I am putting a grievance/commission complaint on them, on how they are unprofessional and do not follow through with there lack of sale. They were very rude, disrespectful, and raised their voices at me. They treated me like a low life. I am a single mother and I try to make ends meet and I cannot do without that money, in that long of a period of time continuing, unexpected one time fees, find a place to live, and moving costs (first and last months rent and deposit and/or earnest money). Time is of the essence with me receiving my well-deserved $2,750, but in reality, it has been more than two weeks, no corporation from them, it being Tuesday, past the two weeks. They said my money would be received by yesterday, August 4, 2014 and they said changed maybe today. I have been willing to go out of my way to meet them to receive my check three different days and three different times and I still do not have the check. I told them to send it to me again and they said no. There is no communication or lack of it between them and I am stuck in the middle paying the due price.Desired Settlement: none

Response:

August 20, 2014Dear Revdex.com,In response to the false information that was submitted about our company, I would like to clarify what took place with [redacted]. Our agent, Giulia M[redacted] has been nothing less than pleasant with [redacted]. There were no incidents where anyone was rude, disrespectful, or raised their voices at this potential client. As a company, that type of behavior is completely out of our character and goes against what we stand for. We make it our duty to serve our clients with the respect and dignity in which they deserve. [redacted] stated that she put a $5,000.00 offer on house number one. This earnest money was never brought to our office. She then stated that she put an offer for the property located at [redacted]. [redacted] submitted a check in the amount of $2,750.00 on June 25, 2014. Unfortunately this check bounced. Once we notified [redacted] in regards to her insufficient funds, she then brought in cash. The $2,750.00 in cash was deposited as the earnest money. [redacted] was dishonest about her financial information which resulted in her not being approved for the loan which is why she seems to be upset with our company. Following our company’s policies and procedures, we began the process for the release. [redacted]’s earnest money deposit of $2,750.00 was returned to her in a timely manner. Policy states that releases are to be issued within two weeks after contract termination. [redacted] received her release check in less than the two weeks. We were in full communication with [redacted] during this time and respectfully informed her in regards to the release process. Once the release check was ready, we spoke directly with [redacted] and she informed us that she would stop by our office to pick up the check and she did. These false accusations were made against our company simply because the deal did not go through and we politely ask that this complaint against our company be removed.Kindest Regards,RE/MAX Metropolitan Realty
