Review: 1. When reviewing the details that were paid to be done, [redacted] started changing things and wanting to go the easy route in stead of what was originally discussed and paid for..
I asked him to have a conversation with my neighbor whom just completed comprehensive work in his unit and wanted to share the problems his contractor experienced.. That's what started the problem. [redacted] got greatly offended for my wanting him to speak with my neighbor. Don't understand why.
2. Requested 50% down payment in cash $3,100.00 with balance being paid in cash as well. total job $6.135.00
3. Walked off the job without starting
4. Will only refund $1,860.00 saying $1,200.00 are restocking fees.
5. Video'd my home without permission
6. [redacted] sent me a text one hour after he left saying quote: I am unable to work on your residence located at: 2622 N. Harbor Blvd. Fullerton, 92835 and will be refunding your deposit immediately.
Text him back asking when? His reply: 7-12 business days..
I did mention earlier that since he was late I think we needed to make a note that if the job wasn't finished on time we would need to deduct some monies.
Having this work done 10 years ago, I'm very aware of how much time it takes to dry etc. and am very considerate and understanding.Desired Settlement: I feel since he walked off the job, I'm entitled to a full refund. He made no attempt to even start the work.
The way he had the video recording this was a well plan staged event which ended up taking advantage of a female senior citizen.
We need to put a stop to this person/ company so no one else gets scammed.
Review: Re-new-it sprayed a coating on my bathroom shower and vanity in 2014. It was guaranteed for 10 years. About 4 months ago it began to peel. Re-new-it refused to come out and inspect the peeling.Desired Settlement: Repair the damage and replace the guarantee.
