At 12:09 A.M. on Thursday 12-15-16 Our company responded for towing service and the driver wasn't with the vehicle. The driver had been transported by law enforcement. At 2:30 P.M. on Thursday 12-15-16 the driver's father called and stated his son was in jail and may not get out until next week. I...

let him know that it is our business policy to only release vehicles or contents to the registered owner. Subsequently I advised him to try and get the okay of his incarcerated son for him to be allowed to pick up his son's property. This is a fairly common practice that has happened in similar circumstances. We never heard back from him. At 12:31 P.M. on Friday 12-16-16 The driver's mother called and said that he may be getting out of jail today. I advised her of our hours of opperation. I let her Know if our gates were closed to give a call or also gave her the option of waiting. On 12-16-16 we closed our gate at 4:30 P.M. and never spoke with anyone pertaining to this vehicle for  the rest of the weekend. I was at the shop from around 9:00 A.M.- 10:00 P.M. on Saturday 12-17-16. The vehicle could have been picked up during the weekend. All they need to do was call or stop in if the gate was open. I advised the driver and his mother of this on 12-19-16 when the vehicle was picked up. Our plow truck was broken down and we were in the process of fixing it, so our yard wasn't plowed. For this I am sorry and do apologize. However the vehicle did have percipitation on it. Just like any other vehicle that was outside during this time. The vehicle also had no problem leaving our yard under its own power. They had a plow truck drop them off and the plow wasn't utilized to free the vehicle. We were called names and disrespected as if it was our fault that the driver was in this situation. Our desired settlement is for the driver of the referenced vehicle to take resonsibility for his actions. No refund will be given.
