12:noon, Saturday, August 8, [redacted] - Real Canadian Superstore - [redacted] Shame on the Winnipeg store on Bison Drive: For many months now the store has been changing the amount you have to buy to get the best price, so that if you think the price you pay to-day is the same price you paid days ago, WRONG - you will pay dearly at the checkoutThey do this every couple of days so that you can no longer rely on your memory The changes do not reflect changes in their cost, they are playing around every couple of days to confuse you The pricing continually changes to try to trick you, & thus increase their profits They now have a new scam so that you can no longer rely on Superstore integrity Here is what happened August 8, at 12:noon When I decided to purchase Danone Activia yoghurt , the price on the shelf was clearly listed as buy groups of price = $each or price = $each When I went thru the checkout, the charge to me was $for two I of course was not happy about this & went to the customer service desk They did a price check ( on their computer of course) & said no, you have to buy three to get the price of $ I said no, the price on the shelf clearly is marked as groups of price = $each or price = $each I said give me a refund, which they did One of the staff members said, " It is not us who does this, it is corporate." Before leaving the store I went back to the dairy section to have another look Sure enough, I was correct, no mistake on my partThe pricing label on the shelf said buy groups of price = $each or price = $each There is no doubt that Superstore is practising deceit & is running their business with a lack of integrity That pricing scenario was an outright lie And they do it with more items than just yoghurt SHAME on Superstore for their pricing ***

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2016/05/18) */
Contacted customer, waiting for call back

This store and the Company's Discount Divison of stores remains focused on ensuring the Customer receives the best market prices for the majority of the items in the stores. As a result, many prices fluctuate up and down from week to week. This has causes concerns with pricing accuracy in...

some known instances. This store and many other stores within the Company follow the Retail Council of Canada's Scanning Code of Practice which would allow the Customer to receive the items for free on any pricing error in the Store (up to $10).  In reference to the Customer's complaint, this Company Process was not followed by the Cashier manager JEN, in which she will be undergo a formal discipline meeting to explain and ensure correct execution to the policy going forward.  To correct the concern regarding the Complaint of the Customer, if he choses to return to the store will recieve a full refund value of all 8 grapefruit purchased and any other recently purchased items in which the price tag didn't correctly reflect the price paid for at the till.  In refernece to the pricing concern being a wider spread issue within the store, I will be investigating the issue throughout all departments in the Store to ensure the Company's processes are being correctly executed.
I apologize for the inconvienence and appreciate it being brought to my attention. Product Pricing and value is very important to our Customers at this store and I will do what is necassary to correct this concern with all our customers.
Thank-you for your time.

Revdex.com:

Shame on the Winnipeg store on Bison Drive:
For many months now the store has been changing the amount you have to buy to get the best price, so that if you think the price you pay to-day is the same price you paid 3 days ago, WRONG - you will pay dearly at the checkout. They do this every couple of days so that you can no longer rely on your memory.
The changes do not reflect changes in their cost, they are playing around every couple of days to confuse you.
The pricing continually changes to try to trick you, & thus increase their profits.
They now have a new scam so that you can no longer rely on Superstore integrity.
Here is what happened August 8, 2015 at 12:00 noon.
When I decided to purchase Danone Activia yoghurt , the price on the shelf was clearly listed as buy groups of 2 price = $2.99 each or price = $4.27 each.
When I went thru the checkout, the charge to me was $8.54 for two.
I of course was not happy about this & went to the customer service desk.
They did a price check ( on their computer of course) & said no, you have to buy three to get the price of $2.99.
I said no, the price on the shelf clearly is marked as groups of 2 price = $2.99 each or price = $4.27 each
I said give me a refund, which they did.
One of the staff members said, " It is not us who does this, it is corporate."

Before leaving the store I went back to the dairy section to have another look.
Sure enough, I was correct, no mistake on my part. The pricing label on the shelf said buy groups of 2 price = $2.99 each or price = $4.27 each.
There is no doubt that Superstore is practising deceit & is running their business with a lack of integrity.
That pricing scenario was an outright lie.
And they do it with more items than just yoghurt.
SHAME on Superstore for their pricing [redacted].

I bought my medication from RCSS first time in my life. They have promo, where you get free $10 gift card for every refill until 11th for new customers. I got one last time but I did not get any this time. Even last time, I had to ask them. But this time, when I asked why, I was told that 'they do not have any gift card'. I left my medication there. [redacted]Desired SettlementI should have gotten $10 gift card. Business Response [redacted] The Begum's did not qualify for the program based upon the clearly established and longstanding rules around eligibility. [redacted] The complaint appeared to suggest this was a widespread problem that overlapped to other family members etc. The explanation was not easily relayed verbally so it was best to be walked thru this when I was next visiting the store. That visit is now complete. [redacted] will contact [redacted] and explain again that they did not qualify for the program. It will be made clear that this is not a recurring or renewable program. As the pharmacy manager; [redacted] has the discretion to ensure that this will be resolved in an amicable manner. I believe that all parties will be satisfied with the resolution. A key part of that resolution will be ensuring that they are 100% clear on the limits of the program. Outside of what could be this instance it will not be offered to the same individual more than once. [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This is not true! Like I said; I was eligible. I have only received the gift card once and you can get it about 10x times more. She told me that they were out of gift cards. [redacted] I was CLEARLY told that they were out of gift cards! [redacted] Final Business Response [redacted] Again, the rules around the program are very clear and understood. It is a program for transfers similar to what you see in the SK market in general. It does not apply to new prescriptions, walk-ins or existing patients. You must transfer a script from another pharmacy. [redacted]. In my response, I indicated with confidence and certainty that our manager - [redacted] could exercise that discretion once she spoke to [redacted]. She would need to understand this more before she could decide. Please review the dates that she has tried to contract [redacted] since my follow up with the team and initial response to the Revdex.com. Here is the summary of the calls I have placed: June 22: No answerJune 23: (about 4pm) Called and spoke to someone and was told that [redacted] would be home after 6pm. I left my name and number for her to phone me back - no reply June 24: [redacted] June 25 - Left a message on answering machine for her to call me June 27 - Left a message with a person for her to call me back June 28 - AM - Called and asked for [redacted] and got hung up on.June 29 - Called - no answerJuly 5 3:36 - Left a message for her to call me back. [redacted] There has been a consistent and sustained effort to contact [redacted], discuss and resolve. The simply have had no reply. [redacted]
