After speaking to the owner, I was confident in selecting Real Deal Van Lines for my move from Massachusetts to New Hampshire She assured me that her movers were highly trained and efficient Her rates were average for the area and her competition but because she took the time to come out and provide an in person estimate, I went with MsHanley's company
On moving day the three 'professional' movers that she had guaranteed, showed up looked like my high school aged brother's friends One spent a good part of the day on his cell phone and holding up a couch (that had already moved) I had a piece of art that I was going to move myself but one of the young men assured me that they would transport it safely and with the utmost care That, along with several expensive dishes were broken I saw him drop the box with the dishes, he responded with a simple 'Oops'
They were very nice boys, but far from what my expectations are of professional movers Unfortunately I had to make another move two days later and went with another company, even though they had a higher rate

I contacted Real Deal Van Lines Inc. to move out from my studio. I agreed in the phone a flat rate of 400 $ to move out, store and move in my furniture (Sofa, 2 little tables, bed and shelf) to my new studio. I paid in advance 129 in the phone so she told that the day that they will pick up my furniture I have to pay the remaining 271 $.this time I asked her to send me a bill but she didnt.I called her againg worried about it to ask for the bill. She told me she will send it agin but she didnt. The third time I called her she send me a blank contract with out the prices but snce we agreed in the phone a flat rate I didnt asked her again. The day I was moving out, when they loaded my furniture in the truck they told me I had to pay an additional 425. That was a total of 425 + 129 = 554 $. I called her in the moment and ask her about it and she told me that the two guys would not leave my home until I pay. She told me that it was a misunderstanding. So I had to pay. I ask her again if that was the last payment and she told me "yes". Today the brought the furniture to my new studio and they ask me to pay again 327$.That would be a total of almost 900$. She told me again that the guys wont leave my home until I pay. Since I dint have the money in my credit card it was impossible to me to pay. So they told me to give them my credit card information (including my 3 digit security number on the back) and told me that they would charge me in 3 days so I had to handle it to put money in my card by then. I had to give them the information because the guys wont leave my place otherwise. I feel like this guys are stealing my money without hesitating

I had a move completed a while ago now by Real Deal Van Lines. The guys that showed up were extremely proffessiinal, efficient and very friendly. My estimate was spot on and everything went without a hitch. 10/10 would use again!

The worst moving experience in my life. 1/2 my stuff was tossed into the basement, after multiple calls prior to the move explaining the potential need for a hoist to get a large piece of furniture they where unprepared. When I first spoke to the owner and his wife over the phone, I was impressed with their apparent knowledge and personable style. The owner of the company came to the house and assessed how long the move would take. I scheduled 3 hours of optional pre-move packing help just in case I couldn't get much done myself. A few days before the move, I spoke with the owner's wife on the phone and explained that I had packed all of the items in the house but not in the garage or basement. I asked her if she thought I still needed the 3 hours of pre-move help. She told me that I probably did not need the extra assistance, and that the movers would finish the packing on the day of the move, so on her suggestion, I cancelled the pre-move help. As it turned out, it was a bigger job than they had anticipated. I can understand mis-judging the job, and I felt bad for the movers who were clearly exhausted by the end of the day, but we were shocked that when they exceeded the expected time, the owner of the company blamed us for the situation! He angrily told my husband and me that all of this was our fault, as we did not use them to pre-pack the home. And because it was our fault, they were no longer going to place items in the house, but were only willing to stack things in the garage. The atmosphere became hostile. We were left with a mess in both houses. Every room in the house we were moving from was left in disarray, and the carpets in both houses were filthy. They did not tape parts to many items that were taken apart, and so we could not find things for weeks. I had to hire another moving company to finish moving things out of the old house and place heavy items in the new house. After it was all over and we saw how bad their work really was, I called and asked for a partial refund. I was politely told that I would get a call back, but no one called; they clearly did not want to make the situation right with us. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I would never recommend this company to anyone.

I moved from Greenfield, Massachusetts to [redacted] Ma. This was told to me before moving and packing all my things to be moved. All was to be packed with drop cloths and taped. Well and good. When delivering the items to my new home, when un-wrapping all the items that found 5 things that were not in tact. The reason for this was for them saying (It was the pot holes that broke these items.).Now I have a T.V. with 2 glass tops and not 3 because it was broken in the move. I had another item that my picnic table was broken on both legs and not replaced. I had also the stand that went under the table that weighed about 50 to 60 lbs to hold the umbrella from blowing away, that was broken.I had a coffee table that the leg broke off either though it was taped and wrapped (that my husband made as a sentimental value to me) and it was only put together by my son in law. So, you see, all was remaining for the dump for the value of all of these items which I could not remember what the others were. Oh! my air conditioner, in the back was rippled when moving in the truck and not wrapped and put into the truck. The total cost that I received for a credit was $36.00 according to [redacted] which was the person that took care of these matters. Massachusetts law said, "Only 60 cents per pound allowed. What is the value of items that were lost and had for a long time?. I want to dispute this and I would have not paid for this if I would have known the outcome of the move. I was told, everything would be handled well with no problem. My problem is still not resolved because I am out I T.V. table that cost me 140.00, A stand for my outdoor table, my air conditioner that might not work until I plug it in to see if it is okay or not. The coffee table, I was given a tube of glue to put on the leg Paying over 500.00 and was told it would only take 4 hours!!??.Product_Or_Service: t.v. TABLEOrder_Number: no number availableDesired Settlement350.00 would be appropriate for another T.V. stand, another table for my outdoors and also the stand that I purchased at Home Depot back 5 years ago. It was metal and outstood the weather but not the breakage of riding in a truck that was not wrapped and thrown in the truck.I will not recommend anyone to this company unless this matter is settled. The two gentlemen that handled the items I don't think should be held responsible because it was the truck in moving and not packed properly.Business Response [redacted] contacted us several months prior to her move to inquire about prices and move details. After about a month of back and forth discussing inventory over the phone, [redacted] scheduled her move for February 28th. Two days prior, [redacted] called in stating her carpets would not be installed in her new house in time for her scheduled move date and so we changed her move date to March 7th, with no rescheduling fees. On move day, our crew members padded and wrapped all wooden furniture and glass, as discussed was part of our hourly rate. The two crew members unloaded the truck and began assembling her bed frames and furniture at her new location. Her TV stand had three tiers with the third glass tier being held up by two small arms. Although all glass was in-tact, the small spring loaded arms would no longer hold up the third glass piece. Our movers tried everything they could to get the two pieces to hold. [redacted] put her TV on the second tier and said her son-in-law would stop by to see what he could do to get the third tier to hold. About two weeks after her move date, [redacted] informed the office of the problem with her TV stand. We offered to bring over a brand new black and silver TV stand that was the exact brand and model as hers. She at first said okay and we scheduled our crew member to drop it off to her. A few days later, she called to say she did not want that TV stand because it was black and silver and not black and black. I informed her that although our insurance policy is a built in .60cents/llb to claims put in writing with pictures within 48 hours of her move, I would still offer her the .60cents/llb for her TV stand. We looked up the model number and weight and refunded [redacted] $36 to her card on file. A few days after that, [redacted] called stating that the $36 was not sufficient. I then, on April 10th, placed an order to [redacted] for the exact stand that she wanted, totaling $125 plus rushed delivery. The TV stand was delivered directly to [redacted] on April 22nd. [redacted] called the office to inform us that the stand was delivered and we had a crew member at her location promptly the same day to assemble it. [redacted] informed him that she was more than satisfied with the correct TV stand. We handled [redacted] complaint thoroughly and promptly and I am happy that she is finally satisfied with the new assembled TV stand.Attached, please find a copy of [redacted] contract which was sent to her via e-mail on the day that she scheduled her move. This contract outlines our insurance standards and requirements of filing a claim in writing with pictures within 48 hours. Also attached is the signed receipt saying she agreed to .60cents/llb and a signed rules and regulations from her move day indicating our insurance policies within 48 hours. This contract and rules and regulations also state that our original estimate is a non-binding estimate and the final cost of the move is billed in 15 minute increments for the amount of time worked.

I used Real Deal this past August and it was an excellent experience. Moving is really stressful but they helped it all go smoothly. Anna at the office made booking the move simple and pleasant. The team of three guys (Eddie, José, and Trevor) was great: right on time, tireless and hardworking on a 90+ degree day, and very nice. The move was between towns, from a 3-bedroom house into mostly attic storage, not an easy job. They did it within the estimated time and cost. I'd use them again and totally recommend them.
