[redacted] showed us a doublewide rental on a Monday which we agreed would be a nice, tempory fit for us since we lost our home to a house fire. He was difficult to get a hold of by phone and finally answered on Friday. He let us know we were denied the rental due to lack of credit. Since the ad has been taken off Craigslist, I believe he was dishonest and actually just wanted to take our $78 application fee while the owners get ready to renovate the property. There's no way to know for sure. We were told if the rental didn't work out we would be refunded the fees and also that low credit score was OK with them. After arguing with the front desk woman when we were turned down over the phone, we were turned away and our $ never refunded. Completely dishonest and bad business practices. I hope others read this and take warning from our experience. A very poor experience from a young debt free couple, trying to rebuild our lives after a devasting fire.
