Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: In March, 2017, I contacted Real Estate Workshops and spoke with MrAaron D*** During that conversation, MrD [redacted] offered to settle for an amount of approximately $30,000, which I refused, because it is inadequate, and does not allow me to recover from this horrendous loss Upon my refusal, MrD [redacted] became angry and rude, and went into a rant, directing insult after insult at me personally I hung up to terminate the abuse.I am requesting a full refund of all tuition expenses, which amounted to $50,897, plus $1,in travel expenses Since my conversation with MrD***, I have filed a dispute with Universal Accounting Services, who was receiving payments from me on approximately $5,that was financed by REW UAS ceased accepting payments because of my dispute, however, four payments, totaling $were made through this payment serviceTherefore, I am requesting full restitution in the revised amount of $47,276.88.REW has not demonstrated that they are serious about settling my dispute My claim of $47,276.88, is a realistic assessment of the damages I have incurred Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Sincerely, [redacted]

Total ripoff. We told the presenters before lunch on the second day of three that this seminar had NOTHING to do with tax liens, but instead was just a sales pitch for more expensive training to learn flipping. We left and were promised a refund at the seminar which never came. Our seminar was in Houston in July 2016. BTW, they did offer to apply my $597 to some further five-figure training - NO thank you.

To Whom it May Concern, Thank you for allowing me to respond to Mr***'s complaint It appears Mr*** received an invitation to attend one of the Real Estate Workshop's ("REW") live events in California The event held on July 23, 2017, consisted of a ninety (90) minute
presentation outlining some of the various real estate strategies At the free first presentation individuals may purchase access to a three (3) day follow up event The cost for the follow up event is $ Clients are not coerced into purchasing access to the follow up meeting, and in fact most do not To be safe clients are given a three (3) day right of rescission to cancel their purchase Additionally, REW will also allow clients to attend the full first day of training, and if the client is not satisfied they may ask for their money back for the event In this case, Mr*** attended the three day event on August 4-6, 2017, two (2) weeks after the initial purchase Mr*** attended all three days Contrary to the offer, he did not rescind his purchase after attending the first day, but enjoyed himself to the opportunity of listening to the materials for all three days At the three (3) day event individuals may purchase additional materials and live training for an additional amount These packages include flying out trainers to the client's residence to train them in their local areas In this case, Mr*** declined the additional real estate materials and training Mr*** has received the benefit of the bargain for his purchaseIt appears, that he wants to receive the benefit, at the same time he wants to twist the training to appear deceiving REW gave Mr*** sufficient time to revoke his purchase REW charges the entrance fee cover its overhead for these events The cost for a student attending all three days in most cases is almost equal to the $ Therefore, when clients attend without cancelling within the prescribed period it costs the company At this point, REW has fulfilled its promises and needs to cover the costs for Mr*** attending the event

To Whom it may concern, We have already been in contact with Mrs*** and sent her a receipt showing her refund has taken place

I am rejecting this response because:
The business promised me a refund last month, after returning their package. I was told that my refund would be 7-10 days, and that it was submitted on September 1, 2017. It is now going on the third week, and I have not received anything. After phoning the business a couple times this week, I was finally told yesterday that my refund was being submitted (once again). I am tired of the run around, and have been dealing with this headache since May 1, 2017. I want this resolved ASAP.

the materials back. As part of the package you signed up for while at the workshop you received a real estate software that has a retail value of $3000.00. We have not received this back from you, which is why you have not received a refund yet. We are happy to honor your request for a refund, but that software must be returned first. Please give our office a call so we may assist you further.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Hello Ms [redacted],This is our response to the Real Estate Workshop's letter.Firstly, REW states that there are 3 partners along with myself, in actuality there are only 3 of us, [redacted],  [redacted] and I, [redacted]. When we signed the contract with REW we were informed that a copy of the contract would be sent to our respective emails. At no time was a 3 day revocation period mentioned and to this day neither of us has received a copy of the contract. Throughout the last day of the 3 day presentation we were constantly bombarded by their salesperson asking us to sign for the Diamond package. When we finally purchased the additional training (the Diamond Package) for $39,999.00 it was with the understanding that REW would guide us through the process of procuring property and that 2 of us ( [redacted] and I) would qualify for loans to purchase the properties. They never told us that new credit would be established in our names by means of opening new credit cards.REW informed us that since [redacted] and I had credit scores of over we 700 ( 715 and 802 respectively) we would each qualify for $40,000.00 in loans. These loans would be through hard money lenders who would provide the capital for funding properties to be purchased. Shortly after,  [redacted] and I started receiving credit cards daily, over 8 in total each.  We had the impression that Seed Capital was the one who would give us the loan. Based on what we were told,  we ended up paying them an additional $3500.00.  We were not advised it was to open credit cards, had we known this we would have not done so, because after all we are perfectly capable of opening our own credit cards. Two months later we were contacted, by phone, by Seed Capital. They told us that they had ..."a one time offer which expired that day and only for a fee of $3000.00 (for both)" and this was to get cash from our credit cards. We promptly declined. REW was the link to Seed Capital, if it were not for REW we would not have  known about them, nor would we have known to contact them.My business partner [redacted] and I attended an event in Houston. After careful evaluation we decided that this was going to put us further in debt. We realized that each event attended came with additional expenses. We would have travel expenses which would include, round trip airfare tickets, transportation to and from hotel to airport, meals, parking of our cars at airport, lost wages from work ([redacted] and [redacted]) and more. Overall their live events were all scheduled in other cities which meant more time away from home and our families. The online resources that were provided were difficult to get on. We kept having technical issues and would constantly contact their technical support. When the issues were not resolved we even contacted the software's technical department. It was an ongoing problem to get on Propstream. It was impossible to do any training they offered as it was always a challenge to get on and stay on their system. There was never a smooth transaction for anything. We decided that we needed to form a corporation , we told REW, a company contacted and told us that it would cost us $600.00 to do so. We complained and then another company contacted us and after several telephone calls to them a duration of about 4 weeks the corporation was formed for $150.00.We found that we had to constantly call about everything (except for Seed Capitalized). We had to take the initiative. There was no schedule or syllabus or sequential steps for the path ahead. Nothing printed regarding the process of what was needed to be done as new entrepreneurs. We felt we had no real guidance but to depend on ourselves quite unlike what they promised. What we were told that we were being offered, what we actually paid for and what we got was not worth the value. We could have found and have subsequently found  this info and more for a fraction of the price that they charged. We called several times to tell them this and wrote emails informing them that we wanted a refund. We believe the product that they offer is not worth the price. We also got the impression that some of their instructors believed this also. In February we contacted REW and told them all of this and then requested a refund. We waited for their response. We then started contacting the banks in April to get a chargeback  but was not successful. We feel that we have been ripped-off and they should be ashamed of themselves. [redacted] is a single Mother who works part-time and placed this on credit cards, [redacted] took money from her 401K and is paying the penalty and taxes and I am recently retired and used my credit card and some of my pension. It's a painful constant monthly reminder.  We know of others who have similar complaints against REW.Sincerely,[redacted]
