Extremely dissatisfiedThis company should never be renting to anyone So to summarize my experience Issue #1: We had a break in, whereas robbers smashed in an entry door and stole quite a few itemsWhen calling the rental company regarding for repair of the door, they took 2+ days before showing up, so basically my home was unsecured for that period of timeWhen the maintenance guy showed up, he basically just replaced apart of the trim (not even the complete side trim, just part), around the door, and added some additional weather strippingSo basically I was stuck with what looked like a beat up door with a bunch of shoddy patch work around it, Issue #2: Toilet leakage, Reported it to them and they NEVER showed upas this was leaking from the 3rd floor to 2nd, I went ahead and repaired it Issue #3: So to set the scene on this one, this is a story townhousewhereas the entry is on the 1st floor, living room, etcon the second, bedrooms and laundry room on the thirdThe stairwell is not wide, just barely enough to take a washer through, with a lot of degree angles, so during the duration we were there needless to say the walls had gotten scuffed up, due to general traffic as well as, hauling things to the third floor and back downSo when we were cleaning the place up prior to us leaving, (now keep in mind we know what is considered fair wear and tear), we had hired professional carpet cleaners, we had applied kilz to the scuffs(Note these walls are white and the kilz is white)We lost over half our deposit, because we used kilz , which forced the owner to paint the placeNow correct me if I am wrong, isn't painting a rental, especially one that's been rented for YEARS apart of the process for readying an apartment for rental???? From my opinion, the owner/ rental company did not want to shell out the money to paint the place even though they did not do it prior to us moving in I could list a few more experiences, but just to get my point across, these people will DO EVERYTHING to never give you your deposit, their response time on ANY ISSUES is a jokeIf your an owner you'll probably do well, if you rent from these guys, EXPECT to be treated badly and EXPECT to never get your deposit back no matter how pristine you leave the place

Real Property Management of the Triad has managed many of our rental properties since their inceptionWe know that we can count on their services to take care of the property from leasing it, managing it, and maintaining the homesWe have really enjoyed the relationship that we have built with themI would recommend them to others

Your lease indicated your rent is $per month and due on the first of the monthThe fact that your lease ended on the 20th
of the month did not permit you to "short pay" only days of rent in DecemberThe arrangement you agreed to was the proper way to handle it; pay full December rent on the 1st, if you leave the premises on the 20th which was the last day of your financial obligation, you would be entitled to **days pro-rated rent refundYou left in proper fashion and were refunded the $pro-rated rent
Regarding the charges against your security deposit; while you made an effort to clean the carpets there were still stains deemed beyond wear and tear for which a service had to be hired to come and addressThis is considered damage and was charged against your deposit to remedyRegarding the cleaning, you were only charged a fraction of the overall cleaning bill in an effort to not penalize you for your efforts of cleaning most areas yourself adequately
These deductions only totaled $and are allowable charges to tenant security deposit according to Section of the NC General Statutes (S42-51)
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2016/02/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I understand your response but why was I sent a letter stating that I owed nothing then a statement saying that I owed money?
Final Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2016/02/05) */
Your deposit reconciliation took more than daysThe state statue (S42-52) requires us to give you an interim accounting by the 30th day of your move outWe really did not have anything to account for yet which is why it said zeroYour refund check accompanied your final accounting statement

The payment you made and entered electronically was reversed and a Non-Sufficient Funds withdrawal occurred on the amount that...

you paid. Per your lease a non-sufficient funds charge of $25.00 was applied and a late fee per your lease was incurred. If an invalid account or routing number was input this could have occurred here. There was an outstanding balance in which you had and were contacted about. In review of this case will make a one time courtesy waiver of the late fee and non-sufficient funds fee.
