Review: We were referred to [redacted] of Real's Clean & Neat Plumbing here in Charlottesville, Va after we had our kitchen renovated. We needed a plumber to take care of a leak we had and were then referred to [redacted]. He came to our home fixed the leak for $75 and was trying to convince us that we really didn't need our garbage disposal because it keeps "guys like him in business" and if he wanted us to do it right now he has a "pretty little brushed nickle basket" that will catch any excess food from going down the drain. Well, within a about a week the leak was back. Somehow we then began to think we didn't need the disposal (or so I thought) and it could be causing something to happen. We call [redacted], he promptly comes over, this time with an assistant to remove the disposal and put in new piping. For the first week everything is going great and we are getting used to not having the disposal by being diligent on emptying the little basket. The next week, I begin to notice a backup in the sink. I think maybe I had not been emptying the basket as often and perhaps there is trapped food in the area. My husband came home later that day and took out a piece of the piping to find electrical tape blocking the bottom half of the pipe and two balls of electrical tape attached to the front tape shoved into the piping. This began was the cause the clogs. We are completely angered over this. We made another appointment and he came back with his assistant, very eager to "get under our house with some heavy duty tools" over a leak. When my husband confronted [redacted] he didn't deny putting the electrical tape there but he claims "it shouldn't have clogged the pipes." When he showed up my husband showed him the tape and pictures he took of what he had found. Since my husband took the tape off our sink and pipes have been just fine.Desired Settlement: I would like the Revdex.com to be made aware of [redacted] and his business here in Charlottesville, VA and I would like others to be be made aware of and be weary of his services.
