I am writing in response to the complaint filed by *** *** regarding the security deposit for *** *** **, Palm Coast FL *** not being returned.">
Ms *** vacated the property on September 30th this was also the last day we managed the property as the owner *** *** was taking the property back and moving into it
We did follow the state required process and after the owner finalized the repairs after the move out she submitted us bills in the amout of $for cleaning and repairs caused by damage from the tenants. We filed a claim against the security deposit and sent a certified letter to the tenants last known address.
The US Postal service attempted delivery on 10/29, 11/and 11/then returned the notice of security deposit forfeiture letter to us as Unclaimed
At this point once the days had elapsed we returned the security deposit to the owner of the property
We do not now manage the property or have Ms ***s deposit
I did today explain all of this again to Ms ***.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is acceptable, however I don't feel that the situation was handled correctly. Realty Exchange sent the certified letter to the former address which we had moved from. They said they couldn't contact me but the agent has my cell phone number and my email, she even had my PO box address but they never tried to contact me using those methods. Realty Exchange inspected my home upon leaving and the inspector said everything looked acceptable, with the exception of the broken glass on the stove everything inside was left in good condition. The owner of the property has taken exception to the way the outside of the home was left which was not our job to maintain. She has made claims against us that are unwarranted and totally untrue, we will not be responsible for any amount outside of the 275.00 they claim to collect for incidental clean up.
