Review: Jeff R[redacted], Project Design/Management, sold me a project for my patio 6/2013. I was seeking a product to seal my patio and prevent weeds. Jeff sold me on a polymeric sand product that he said would do the job and continue to work for 4-5 years. Immediately following application of the product we noticed there were areas of the patio where the sand all washed away. I contacted Jeff and he said he would come out and take a look. A few weeks went by and he never came. I tried, repeatedly, to contact him, only to find out months later that he was no longer with the company. So I spoke with Andy T[redacted], in early spring 2014, from landscaping maintenance and he connected me with Tim H[redacted], who I have been dealing with since. After 3 months of repeatedly asking Tim to come look at the patio, he came by and had his workers pour some sand on the patio, summer 2014. they didn't even clean out the cracks first. So, naturally it all washed away. So I let him know I was upset that the "fix" was done poorly and didn't work. So, he and his "managers" came to my home and saw the patio. The "manager" said "yeah, that's not right, it shouldn't look like that. But your patio is old and this product may not work." This was the first I had ever heard that the age of my patio was a factor and that the product might not work. Jeff NEVER mentioned this when he was selling me the product. WHY would I shell out $620 for a product that might not work? I told them I would like a refund and they refused and insisted on re-applying the product a 3rd time. This time they did clean the patio first and re-applied the sand, fall 2014. Once again, the sand washed away. I now have a patio covered with loose sand and no seal. I have asked Tim H[redacted] to please issue a refund for this produce as it was clearly sold to me under false pretenses. He has refused. I don't understand how they can do this to people. Jeff should have told me up front that this product was a long shot on an old patio. I never would have purchased it. I feel that I have been swindled. Thank you for your time.Desired Settlement: I would very much appreciate a refund of the $620 I paid for this product/service. Thank you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I would just like to respond to the statement made by Realty Landscaping. Yes, I agree, you did make a very good effort to "fix" the patio, and I want you to know we really do appreciate that. Unfortunately, as you stated, it could not be "fixed". Regardless, the part I have a problem with is that Jeff never told us anything about the patio's age being an issue or that there was any chance the polysand might not take. If I had been told that from the beginning I never would have purchased the product or wasted your time and money. Thank you very much for refunding our money. We really appreciate it.
