Realty Mortgage was brought in 10/17 to manage our building and by the board of directors. While unclear the rationale behind the change; the experience and support in terms of service, accurate reporting, and basic knowledge of property management principals is overtly lacking. Their accurate record retention for assoc dues paid is a mess. When contacted both via phone and email about the inconsistencies in letters received about delinquent payments when compared to bank records kept by the payment service they use that show payments received well in advance of due date were met with confusion by office reps, and just overall deniable responsibility or understanding. When you call the receptionist is nice, but all employees including the principal/owner is a joke. Experience and model behavior is a derivative of the principals of the business for which from conversation with Hugh *** is lacking. Strongly suggest any and all buildings seeking a competent and somewhat customer focused property management company steer clear of this organization.
We have looked in to your concerns and we sorry you feel we somehow failed to meet your expectations. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service. In relation to the specifics you outline, while we cannot be sure what you are referencing directly, a review of the ledger shows a balance due from the prior management company appropriately reflected our account. That balance remained until we received confirmation from the previous management company that an error had been made, which was received and credited to your Realty & Mortgage Co. account in late November. If you would like further explanation please contact our office and ask for our Condominium Accounts receivable dept where they can provide the full description of any balance. In addition, Hugh never spoke to you regarding any of this either on the phone or by email.
I used to love living here until this one terrible experience completely changed my entire outlook on all of Realty & Mortgage. Recently the lock on my front door was completely broken. I asked to have it fixed and it was fixed right away which I appreciated very much except when I came home at 3am, I couldn't unlock my door so I proceeded to contact a locksmith which ended up charging me $195! When I spoke to Realty and Mortgage Corporation about issuing me a refund for this incident, they refused and the woman at the office spoke to me in such a poor manner explaining that they cannot give me the money back since I only texted the apartment manager and not called her. The issue shouldn't stand on that reasoning it should stand on the fact that my door was completely broken, it was 3am and I needed to get inside of my apartment, it wasn't fixed correctly and/or checked correctly and as an apartment rental company this is their responsibility to fix what needs to be to fixed for residents. I'm extremely disappointed in this company and even more disappointed because I had really enjoyed living here before this incident. I deserve to be spoken to with respect and I deserve that refund because an issue such as my lock breaking is not my fault and calling to get it fixed so I can get inside of my apartment at 3am should also not be my fault.
