Review: We rented a house from this company for about a year. During that time we had some serious problems that needed to be fixed by company. First, we had a major pest infestation. We contacted company multiple times and after a month or so they sent an exterminator. The problem continued after pest control and company was notified. Due to their lack of a response we paid for multiple treatments on our own.Even worse, a step leading up to the front door dry rotted and began falling apart. Knowing this was a safety issue we contacted management company at least 5 to 10 times. While we were awaiting repair 2 people fell through the step; one was a 12 year old child. 2 injuries were a direct result of this ccompany's lack of any response or action.We moved out about 2 months ago and had the house professionally cleaned. We have contacted the company at least 15 times asking for our deposit to be returned. One time we were told they would send deposit to us. It has been 2 months and still no refund. If I call they hang up on me. If I text they refuse to respond. This deposit is rightfully ours and we would simply like it returned. I have sent my new address 3 or 4 times with no response. I called today and was hung up on. They simply choose to ignore the fact they owe us over $1000.Desired Settlement: Entire deposit returned in a timely matter.

Review: My roommate and I leased a property from Realty Resources for one year in the Irish Channel neighborhood of New Orleans.We found the unit through a friend who lived there, and moved in right after that friend. Despite our requests, the unit was never cleaned before move-in and never inspected.Within one month, our A/C unit broke in the middle of the summer. Realty Resources took over two months to fix it. When it broke again, it took another month to fix it - not replace it at this point.During the winter, when a heating unit was broken, it was never fixed despite numerous requests.When Realty Resources did perform maintenance, we were never warned when they would be coming, but would simply awake to a knocking on the door from a strange man.When we moved out, our deposit was never returned. We were first told that we never paid our last months rent so we wouldn't get our deposit back. Once we provided proof that our last month's rent checks were cashed, we were told that they had to deduct money for cleaning the microwave and the tub, both of which we extensively cleaned before move-out. At this point, Realty Resources ceased communications to us, despite several letters and legal threats for our deposit to be returned. Our phone calls are unanswered, and our letters returned. Realty Resources still owes us over $1000.Desired Settlement: We would like our security deposit returned, and for this to serve as a public warning for potential customers of Realty Resources.
