I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

Mr***'s service was cancelled per his request on October 1, 2014. At that time, he was also given credit for the time service was discontinued for non-payment. This represents an additional credit per Mr***'s request. Our records indicate that the container removal
was requested and, to our knowledge, has been removed. However, we will have a representative from Recology Auburn Placer verify this tomorrow

Occasionally the driver that services my address forgets to pick up my garbage.. There's always an excuse .. never true... last Thursday (once again he didn't pick it up) so I called Thursday afternoon and was told that he'd either be out there on Friday, but most likely Monday... by 3:00 today no pickup... so I call a 3rd time and it appears my account was delinquent.. I didn't realize I had forgotten to pay my bill.. Why did it take 3 calls for me to find this out? There is no answer except this agency is full of incompetent people

I contacted the customer yesterday evening about her complaint.  We have missed her yard waste twice in the last year and a half.  After discussing with her as to the reasons for the misses, it appears that the contents of the container in question (green waste) may have been contaminated...

with non-compostable material (in this case, plastic bags.)  Also, spillage was likely caused by an overloaded container.  Finally, she is a Thursday service customer who in the past has contacted us on Friday to report the miss.  Very often, we are unable to provide same day service which results in a customer having to wait until the following Monday.  This accounts for the three day wait period. In order to facilitate resolution of future service issues, Ms. Nielsen will request her calls be forwarded directly to me or to [redacted], our General Manager.  We have promised to make every attempt to resolve problems the same day as they are reported.  Ms. [redacted] seemed satisfied with my conversation with her and reassured that we were attentive to her concerns. Please let me know if you have questions or need additional information. Regards and Happy Holidays, [redacted]

Review: I have had issues with Recology Auburn Placer failing to pick up trash when the payment on the account is past due, yet billing for the non-collected refuse (they leave the container full). I felt that business practice unfair, since I am paying for the service that was not provided, plus an additional percentage for the late payment. That issue was enough of a reason that I requested cancellation of service (May-April 2014). Billing, however, continued by the company (only submitting email notifications, which were not received until recently; though I was promised that multiple mail letters went to my address which I did not see nor receive). In essence, Recology Auburn Placer does not collect refuse on a past due account, failed to close an account when requested, and continues to bill while not providing services. After accessing the formal email contact page on the company website, I was told that billing would stop and that the container would be taken back by Recology.After the communication, I left the container at the end of the neighborhood street where refuse is collected. The container was not taken.When I left the empty container belonging to Recology the following week with a sign asking them to take it back, the sign was ripped off and the container turned around and pushed into my neighbor's fence.The container belonging to Recology has been cracked along the side where the claw grabs it. Recology never replaced it during service.Since Recology is billing for trash they don't collect, and has billed and received payment for past services not performed, they are in breach of contract. I would like Recology to do what's right and waive any fees they feel I owe them. I would like to see a contract that requires me to pay for non-collection and an initialed waiver for Recology's breach of contract by non-collection also signed by me and I will remit payment in full. I would like the Recology container removed.Desired Settlement: Elimination of bill.

All the phone numbers say they are disconnected for this company. Hard to pay your bill over the phone when the numbers dont work. Same guys who wanted me to pay for a month of service from before I even owned the house.
