Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention In response the complaint: Recon Cycles performed services and installed a selected snorkel kit on an ATV for an approved price Making any alterations to the air intake on any carbureted engine most times will require an adjustment in the carburetor The carburetor adjustments are a separate job and fee beyond the installation of the snorkel kit After the installation of the snorkel kit the customer was advised about the needed fix to the carburetor and choose to take his ATV and use it at a local riding event While at this event the customer approached our vendor booth and related that his ATV was performing worse than before We quickly inspected his ATV and noticed that his air filter had become lodged with dirt/mud from the riding event and we suggested him cleaning or replacing the air filter The customer purchased an air filter from us and continued riding at the event A few days later the customer returned his ATV to our shop location and again we inspected it (free of charge) and again advised him that he needed to adjust his carburetor jets to compensate for the snorkel kit that he had us install The customer asked if we could just adjust the size of the intake tube on the snorkel kit instead of fixing the issue correctly We advised him that we would not redo the snorkel kit and provided him with an estimate for replacing the carburetor jets The customer refused the work advising us that he did not want to spend that much on the ATV and left our store Besides your notification we have not received a complaint, request for refund or any other communication from the customer Our General Manager will be reaching out for this customer to see if we can not assist him in getting his ATV where he feels it needs to be Recon Cycles has been in business for over years and has always had an excellent relationship with its customers and the Revdex.com Again, thank you for bringing this to our attention and we look forward to another satisfied customer

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] Regards, [redacted] Subject: RE: Claim number [redacted] Yes I would like my my claim open back When they first called about my for the being ready they said it was running fine and it had no problems in response that they made you all they said that they told me about the carburetor issue and they never told me about a carburetor issueThey also said that I went riding at a big mudding event I did go to a big mudding event but I did not really because my wheeler was not running properly and I ended up leaving because my wheeler was not running properlyWhen I took it back to the shop they told me that it had to have a jet done to the carburetor and that a bigger intake would not fix the problem I said it would and they told me again a would not fix the problem so I my atv up from them and I put a bigger intake of it myself how much four wheeler is running fine with the bigger into it they said would not fix the problem

I have read and respect the statement from the customer, however I have to stand by our mechanic's initial recommendation that advised him that just replacing the intake on the bike is not the proper adjustment for that ATV with the type or custom snorkel kit and that it will need a Carburetor Jet Kit to properly correct the issues he is having with his ATV that was installed.  As a Power-Sports Dealer we can not just "mend" issues versus properly repair the vehicles.  I completely understand that sometimes is it not the least expensive way but it is the correct way and we will always try and help the customer understand why we suggest the type of repairs that we do.

We will reach out for him again and again offer to help him with his issues he is having, however there is a cost associated with the repairs.  We have been willing to work with him on the total if he will allow us to complete the repairs properly.

Again, thank you for your assistance in this matter and we look forward to solution very soon.

 Subject: RE: Claim number [redacted]

Yes I would like my my claim open back.   When they first called
about my for the being ready they said it was running fine and it had no
problems in response that they made you all they said that they told me about
the carburetor issue and they never told me about a carburetor issue. They also
said that I went riding at a big mudding event I did go to a big mudding event
but I did not really because my 4 wheeler was not running properly and I ended
up leaving because my 4 wheeler was not running properly. When I took it back
to the shop they told me that it had to have a jet done to the carburetor and
that a bigger intake would not fix the problem I said it would and they told me
again a would not fix the problem so I my atv up from them and I put a bigger intake
of it myself  how much four wheeler is running fine with the bigger into
it they said would not fix the problem

Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention.
In response the complaint:
Recon Cycles performed services and installed a selected snorkel kit on an ATV for an approved price.  Making any alterations to the air intake on any carbureted engine most times will require...

an adjustment in the carburetor.  The carburetor adjustments are a separate job and fee beyond the installation of the snorkel kit.
After the installation of the snorkel kit the customer was advised about the needed fix to the carburetor and choose to take his ATV and use it at a local riding event.  While at this event the customer approached our vendor booth and related that his ATV was performing worse than before.  We quickly inspected his ATV and noticed that his air filter had become lodged with dirt/mud from the riding event and we suggested him cleaning or replacing the air filter.  The customer purchased an air filter from us and continued riding at the event.
A few days later the customer returned his ATV to our shop location and again we inspected it (free of charge) and again advised him that he needed to adjust his carburetor jets to compensate for the snorkel kit that he had us install.  The customer asked if we could just adjust the size of the intake tube on the snorkel kit instead of fixing the issue correctly.  We advised him that we would not redo the snorkel kit and provided him with an estimate for replacing the carburetor jets.  The customer refused the work advising us that he did not want to spend that much on the ATV and left our store.
Besides your notification we have not received a complaint, request for refund or any other communication from the customer.
Our General Manager will be reaching out for this customer to see if we can not assist him in getting his ATV where he feels it needs to be.  Recon Cycles has been in business for over 8 years and has always had an excellent relationship with its customers and the Revdex.com.
Again, thank you for bringing this to our attention and we look forward to another satisfied customer.
