Review: I placed an order for a coffee table and console with [redacted], one of the [redacted] at the [redacted] on December **, 2013. We paid full in cash the day the order was placed and received a receipt via [redacted]. We were told the furniture would be ready and delivered to our home within 6 weeks. After numerous attempts to email, [redacted] message, call, message through [redacted], there was still no confirmation of order or product status. After 6 months, I was able to re-establish contact with the [redacted] by physically going to the flea market. I visited them again at their store at [redacted] on June **, to re-establish the specifications of the order as the order was lost. At that time, the other [redacted], assured us our order would be pushed to the front of the production line and that they would be in communication with us. He gave excuses that their secretary quit and orders have been getting lost. He said he was a furniture maker and not a businessman and that they've been overwhelmed with orders to fill for stores and restaurants, but said our order would take priority. It is now 3weeks later and neither [redacted] have returned my phone calls or emails. There was only one store representative that answered my call only to tell me the workshop has been closed and production halted as the shop has been rented for a photo shoot. He had no information about the status of my order and only referred me to [redacted]. I have asked them for a refund via voicemail and email. Although these brother furniture makers have been featured in the media and have made furniture for a number of restaurants and stores, they don't provide any customer service for regular lay buyers. There are multiple poor reviews about their customer service on [redacted]. As much as I really wanted to support local businesses and artists, I don't believe these brother to be reputable. I feel that I'm getting scammed since I paid cash in full up front without any product or reliable communication of the status.Desired Settlement: Full cash refund of $1440. I have emailed the [redacted] a copy of the [redacted] receipt sent to me on December **, 2013, as proof of payment.
