The RTV arrived on Wednesday, July 6th I received a call from Mrs*** around 4pm that day asking the status of the RTV I explained the machine had not been brought into the shop yet but we would have it in shortly She said she was told by "the guy up front" that we would
bring it right in the shop I explained we don't close until 5:and would have it in the bay before the end of day and I would call her with the status The next morning around 9am I left a voicemail with Mrs*** explaining the starter was locked up (rusted) and we would order and install a remanufactured starter (new starters cost $539.95) and have the machine repaired for a total cost of $early the following week We repaired the machine, customer picked up the machine, paid the repair bill of $and never expressed any issues other than he felt this seemed like an expensive repair for a year old machine.Typically we email estimates to our customers, but I did not in this instance so I have zero proof that I left a voice mail with Mrs*** Other than not sending an email to have documented proof, I'm not sure what I could have done differently We jumped on this job the same day it arrived, called with an estimate, and performed the work under the estimated amount
