Complaint: [redacted] I understand you think I am stupid and I can not read or know that adjusting this new steering box is completely unnecessary and defeats the purpose of buying a new steering boxIf I thought I needed to adjust a box I would have not bought a $unit to do soI did not adjust that box or any of the other boxesI also did not have anyone else adjust it [redacted]

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because I have received steering boxes from this company and have continued to have issues with themThe first one I purchased in June 2015, and they received there core steering box and refunded me my deposit in July I called them in March to inform them that the steering box was leakingThey ask for my credit card info to charge another $core charge for the WARRANTY exchangeThat was taken out of my account on 3/9/I sent this first box back and my account was only credited $on 4/5/2016. I drove my vehicle with this second steering box, and it didn't work like the first one didIt was sloppy and didn't perform like it was supposed toI called them again asking them what they thought about its performance, and they said they would send me another oneThis was on a late Tuesday 4/19/and they told me because of the time it would not arrive until MondayI asked them if they could get it to me by Friday because of me working all week, so I could install this third box ASAPHe said he would and didn't say anything about me having to pay for the overnight shippingThey did not ask for my credit card info and I received the third box on Friday 4/22/Sincerely,*** ***

Unit ordered through Diesel Power ProductsA complaint was issued that the unit was leakingOnce we received the unit we found that the unit had been tampered withThe adjustment screw on the top cover had been adjusted turnsThis voids the warrantyThis was warned against on both the invoice that we sent the customer and on a tag sent with the unitPictures of that unit are available upon requestThey are attached to this email as well
3/7/16: Invoice number ***A replacement was sent out for invoice number ***A $core charge was placed on this invoiceWe paid for UPS overnight shippingUPS failed to deliver the unit and we do not count our costs on this invoice against our customerIt was out of both his and our controlWe were unaware of the adjustment on the original steering gear as we had not received it yet
3/17/16: Invoice number ***A replacement was sent out for invoice number *** againNo charge was placed on this invoiceWe paid for UPS Overnight shippingThis unit was receivedA complaint was issued that this unit was jumping back at the customerWe advised that the unit needed further bleedingOur notes show that the customer did not comply with this recommendationOnce this unit was sent back our support technicians checked it out under pressureThe unit was found to have no issues at allWe were still unaware of the adjustment on the original steering gear as we still had not received it yet
4/20/16: Invoice number ***A replacement was sent out for invoice ***No charge was placed on this invoiceWe paid for UPS 2nd day air shipping
It is unfathomable, in our decades of business, to have one of our units tampered with and then be held responsible for the charges involvedWe have spent hundreds of dollars in shipping costs and man hours on this customer because of issues not related to our building processWe have lost money on this steering gearWe do not see it as fair, right, or just to have to refund an additional $to our customerThat $does not even cover the money that we have lostPlease contact us with any additional questions

Thank you for contacting us regarding a statement from our customer. Our customer had contacted us on 3/17/16 regarding an leaking and tightness issue with his steering gear. At his request we shipped him a new steering gear via UPS Overnight at our expense. We charged a $250 conditional...

core charge to ensure that steering gear with an issue was sent back. Upon receiving it we found that the unit had been adjusted after leaving our shop. Our invoices clearly state that any adjustment to our units will void the warranty. The reason for docking that $250 was because we were out over $100 in shipping costs and labor costs on our end for something that was not our fault.
Attached to this email is a picture of the unit that the customer had send back to us. The silver adjustment mark clearly shows that this unit has been tampered with. More pictures are available upon request. If you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
