Red Hot Roofing, Inc.

Owner Roberto S[redacted] of Red Hot Roofing examined my patio overhang roof & said it was a real mess due to previous faulty repairs, that I would have to have a carpenter pull out and replace the rotting wood & soffit before he could begin working on it. This was done (cost $300) & S[redacted] did the roofing repair work 1-1-16 (cost $500). On 4-7-16 the gutter installer observed problems with the patio roof, ie numerous spots where the roofer had failed to seal the tar paper to the roofing material which meant rain was going to get in between the tar paper and roofing material. I telephoned S[redacted] the same day, telling him the roof had to be fixed ASAP as a major storm was forecasted 4-9 evening. S[redacted] never showed up 4-9 morning as promised. Also refused to answer his phone or return my messages. Came over April 12 without warning after a contractor friend of mine called him. S[redacted] said he didn't have any hot tar with him but would be back in a couple of days. (Meanwhile it had indeed really rained night of 4-9 and the roofing material was drenched where it had not been sealed.) April 12 was the last time I heard from or saw S[redacted], and it is now April 21. I've called him many times since April 12 but he won't answer the phone or return the messages I've left. He won't call my contracting friend now either. There have been several more big rains since the one of April 9, and now the patio ceiling is cracked and the roof is sagging, plus the new tape and the mudding and more of the old paint is flaking off. This whole experience with Roberto S[redacted] and Red Hot Roofing has been extremely frustrating . . . a situation like I've been through shouldn't happen if one is dealing with a professional individual/organization who holds a State of Arizona license.
