Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because it was [redacted] (not [redacted] ) who I contacted and who called Red Lion on my behalfI did make this journey to this hotel! I did showI did NOT state I had a family emergency to anyone as this business's reply statesI do NOT know why that statement was made nor by whom that statement was made byAs I stated previously, I thought I had to the wrong hotelIt looked horrible, nothing like it's on-line advertisementADVERSTISEMENT at its bestAnd, due to only a few cars in the parking lot, the dead landscape, poor building condition, the closed down restaurant that was advertised as open on its website, I thought perhaps the hotel was closed I entered the lobby anyway, it was dark, quiet, emtpy, and no one was at he front deskI said, "Hello?!" No one cameAs a result, I returned to my car in the parking lot I called a [redacted] agent, MrM***MrM [redacted] placed me on hold to call the hotel on my behalfHe returned a few mintues later claiming he could not get an answer from the front desk eitherHe said in order to get a refund, I'd have to call [redacted] back the following day because no one was available to process the refundI asked MrM [redacted] for a confirmation number, but MrM [redacted] said that wasn't necessary as he made appropriate notes regardign our conversation I call [redacted] the following day as directed by MrM***; however, [redacted] stated that they could not issue the refund because the hotel refused the refundThe hotel documented me as a no-call/no-showBeing that I booked this hotel through [redacted] based on what I perceived on-line as a very nice hotel, someone owes me a refund, be it [redacted] or the Red Lion in Gallup, NM I believe I was deceived, misinformed, mishandled, lied to, and more! The hotel is desperate for money because from what I see, they need all the money they can [rip off] get! I was booked at an Americas Best Value Inn located in Jackson, mi. We had made reservations on Tuesday our check in was Friday June 7th, check out June 9th. Our check in time was 3:00, we arrived at 6pm, we were given our keys and went to our room where they were just cleaning and making the beds, that mattresses were in horrible condition, with big stains and lumps, I went to check the mattress and found bed bugs, I have pictures and a video, I was pushed out of the room with the staff yelling at me that those were not bed bugs, I then went back to the office and they offered me another room. These rooms are all adjoined. My mother who is 75 years old did not want to stay there after seeing the bugs, nor did I and they refused to give a refund. I have spent all weekend trying to get a refund or just in contact with someone besides reservations who keeps giving me a run around, I was able to contact 3 other people who had the same problem.

So I have waited a full month to write this review since I was beyond upset that we not only found dead BED BUGS in our bed but we were also kicked out of the hotel for it?! Now that I have calmed down and have given ample time for the hotel general manager to even pretend to return our phone calls I suppose it's time for a review. I'll try to make this short.

We were here for a wedding. Found dead bed bugs in multiple stages of their life cycle (plus blood and stains which the manager later tells us all the beds have just like the ones at her house...wait, what? I don't feel better now lady). I have pictures but I really don't think it's necessary to post them since I don't really care to have pictures of stains and bugs in my gallery of photos...anyway we go to the front desk to get the manager (Rasy? she had black hair and glasses). She comes to our room and starts examining (by examining I mean smashing) the bed bugs with a card key. We ask her to be careful. To her being careful means proceeding to "accidentally" flick it behind the nightstand. Clever. We tell her to please (yes, we legit said "please") stop destroying the bugs and she gets irate. Ridiculously (and disproportionately) irate considering what she just did and our request because I'm a germaphobe and freaking out on the inside. She gets an attitude and says "Don't accuse me of doing that on purpose..." blah blah blah. I said "Calm down, no one is accusing you of your intentions we are just stating what happened. You flicked the bug behind the nightstand." She's acting so crazy I ask her to leave our room. She refuses and says you have 5 minutes get out of this hotel now. I'm shocked, now scared of this walkie-talkie-wielding-bug-flicking-manager on a power trip so I say fine but leave the room or I'm calling the cops. She ends up calling the cops on us! There's a whole cop scene that ensues with a cop that was definitely bullied as a child that I'll save for another time...or maybe the Redding Police has a yelp page? Anyway, the night ends with me dragging my bridesmaid dress along with my other personal belongings across the parking lot in trash bags to the Holiday Inn.

Thanks to customer service for doing nothing and thanks to the general manager for never returning our phone calls. REAL CLASSY business you're running.

P.S. The next night the wedding party attended the bar in the hotel and bottles were thrown, people got kicked in the face, and the 65+ year old woman singer had to be helped out of a dog pile...but the cops didn't come that night. Oh Red Lion Hotel how are you still in business?

The same thing here, they kicked us off the property after I called the police because the employees pushed me and my 75 year old mother out of the room as I was taking pictures and video of the bugs crawling

Have spent many nights at the Bellevue wa red lion. After my husband being hospitalized for over a week. I asked the night before check out to pay by corporation check rather than charged to my AX to expedite bookkeeping. Granted yes by manager since we have been staying there for months. Husband on transplant list. Guess what. Tooucj trouble sent through on AX. Asked am person she could care less. Reservations for the next week were at LaQuinta. We have appoinents almost weekly. What good business. Where do they find managers.

We made reservations 3 months in advance, confirmed them this week. It was for a room with disabled access(yes I am).

Red Lion called after 8:00 pm night before. The room is not available! . Have been given the run around. The manager is not available and not returning phone calls.

Had prolonged our stay in Oregon for that room.Desired Settlement: This was to be a free night-

Cash settlement may help change management practices.

The hotel provided this guest with a first floor room near the parking lot. The hotel procured a shower chair and portable hand rails for the shower to accommodate the guest's special needs. The hotel provided additional pillows per the guest's request. Additionally, the guest was given the room complimentary due to the mix-up. The guest contacted me personally 5/22/13 to thank us for making the extra effort to accommodate their special needs and left the hotel satisfied with their stay promising to return on a future trip.
