Red Robin Cleaners

I am rejecting this response because:
When I dropped off the comforter & duvet, they were assembled together. I asked the nice young man how much it would cost for both pieces to be cleaned. He said $22 - $27. I specifically asked if the price was for both parts. I said I could take the duvet home & wash it and leave the comforter here, if the that would be less expensive. He said  that it was the same price whether it was 1 or 2 pieces. In that case, I left the combined duvet/comforter.When my husband (NOT ME as Mr. [redacted] stated) picked up only the duvet, (not knowing then what I had brought in) he paid $27. On returning home & learning that the comforter was missing, HE  quickly called back. The person could not help him & said he cleaners would call back. I placed the second call & a woman & a woman said it was there. I went right back to pick it up thinking it had been mistakenly not given to my husband. she brought the comforter and said it cost $35.98 for that piece. She was holding on to it, as if to not let me take it away. I explained everything the young man said to me about items cost. She agreed he was mistaken and that she had him write up another slip - as if he learned by that.To me, it was not the hassle of making 2 trips, as Chris [redacted] stated in his response. It was the fact that I had to pay another $32.00 to ransom my comforter. The BILL was $35.98 for that piece & she gave me a $4.00 discount!!  Hardly satisfactory.  I paid $32 more ecause I had no choice.I had been quoted a price of $22 - @27. I had to pay a total of $59 because of Red Robin's errorI believe I am owed the $33 that I paid to ransom my comforter.Thank you,[redacted]

When Mrs. [redacted] dropped off the Duvet cover and comforter they where assembled as one piece, the invoice shows 1 comforter dropped off, the price she was quoted was for one comforter.   When the comforter was set to be cleaned it was noticed that they were two separate pieces. We...

separated the pieces and clean them and pressed the cover.  When Mrs. [redacted] came to pick up she presented a receipt for one comforter which she got.  She then called back and asked about the cover.  We said we should have given her both pieces and that the cover has a separate cost from the comforter.  She was not happy, and we tried to explain what happened.  We offered her a discount due to the confusion and hassle to have to make two trips.  She said ok.   We are competitive on our prices and she was charged correctly for a duvet cover and comforter and accepted a discount for the hassle.    Customers have brought in comforters in the covers numerous times and we have never had issues when we separated the items.  Going forward, we will try to catch this at the counter when they are dropped off.  If it is missed we will call the customer and explain the issue so they are informed.
