My husband and I made a reservation for us and our 2 children (ages 5 and 3) to stay at Red Roof Inn Trevose on Friday 8/16/19. Upon arrival, we were checked in and given our room key, however when we got to the room they had assigned us it was already occupied. We returned to the front desk and were told that someone had already checked into our reservation, without the front desk confirming ID. At that point, we requested a refund and decided to stay elsewhere. We were told that the money could only be refunded by a manager, who had been called to the Inn but would not be there for over an hour. After making a reservation at a different hotel, we telephoned the Red Roof Inn Trevose to again request the refund. At this point, the staff member was able to refund our money and apologized for the inconvenience.
On 8/19/19 Red Roof Inn refunded our reservation of $101.92.
On 8/19/19 Red Roof Inn charged us $100.33.
On 8/22/19 Red Roof Inn charged us $1.59.
When I called today to discuss the charges and request a refund, I was told that I would have to speak to a manager but that she is not there today and they do not know when she will be in. I left my phone number and requested a return call, however I am extremely dissatisfied with their lack of security at check in (not checking someone's Id when they are claiming a reservation) and charging us for services not rendered.

Dear ***,I am responding to a complaint from ***. We have given *** a full refund. There was a mix up with her reservation on 8/16/2019. There was another guest with the same last name and the Front Desk Agent mixed up the 2 reservations. The Front Desk Agent tried to explain the mistake but *** felt unsafe and wanted to leave. My Front Desk Agent refunded the wrong amount (amount without taxes), So I came in the next day and fixed the refund giving the full amount and refunding the safe charges as well. I am not sure why the guest is stating she never received the refund as we have credited her full amount and my accountant confirmed this. We have apologized numerous of times and even offered VIP passes, she refused. I understand her frustration, but the bank transactions goes according to their stipulations. I stayed at this motel on the night of Monday May 28. I woke up in the middle of the night with horrible itchy Ng on my hips and back. It became apparent it was most probably caused by bedbugs bites, especially after these red welts continued to itch for several days and a subsequent *** search showed several other complaints in the past about bedbug infestations at this property. They should not be allowed to stay in business due to this major health and comfort issue.
