Hi, My name is *** ***, and as the owner of Red Square Clothing in Ridgeland, I wanted to address the complaint we received from a customer regarding a recent purchase. The customer by the name of *** *** visited, tried on, and purchased a pair of discounted jeans at our location
on 12/7/2017. After speaking with the staff, it was explained to me the customer did try the jeans on and was confident in her purchase.Our store policy for sale items is final sale. The customer explained that she felt the jeans were too tight when she got home and she wished to return the jeans for her money back. Because we do not ever want anyone to be stuck with an item they do not like, we bent the rules of the final sale policy and explained to her we will allow her to exchange the item. That was not a good enough response and after going back and forth, we agreed to give her a store credit to use towards something in the future I have attached a copy of her receipt that states sale items are final sale. I have also attached a copy of the return policy that is posted at the counter at all times, along with a copy of the return policy for holidays. We strive to always provide options for our customers in the event that yes, rules are able to flex slightly. I am rejecting this response because: I was never told or made aware that the item I purchased was a final sale itemI was not aware of this until I went to return the itemI didn’t even know what they meant because I had purchased the jeans on sale but all the jeans in the store were on saleThe return policy is posted at the register but is very small and not prominently displayed so I did not see itThe return policy is printed on the receipt but of course by that time one has already purchased the item so it’s a little late thenOf all the money you make on the sale of jeans and other apparwl, what can you not just give me back my money? I promise to never shop your store again and you won’t have to hear from me againBecause the problem is, I do not have any more than $to spend on jeansYou do not offer another pair of jeans at a comparable style and size at your storeOtherwise, I would exchange the jeans for another pairBut you don’t have anything to offer except a more expensive pairI can purchase a pair of the same jeans in my size online if you would just give me back my money please
