I do not feel responsible for the timing chain being wore out I had not even had it a whole week before finding out what was wrong with the SUV an why the check engine light was on after being told by salesman [redacted] that the light was on due to a sensor and that there was nothing wrong with the engine that was and now I have to come up with more money to fix the problem if I had known I would have never purchased the vehicle this is not the dealership first time trying to get over on people not only that but I go to get my title last week due to my tags expiring and the title was still in the dealerships name and I had to purchase another day tags and yet still no title has been sent to me I went to get my title from BMV today and I had to pay for it and I paid for tax and title when purchasing vehicle but this too is something that this dealership has been doing for awhile I know this after doing some research on the business and looking at the reviews that show customers just like me that was either sold a Lemon or taking months to receive title I have also put in a complaint about that as well yes vehicle was sold as is but was lied to, to make the sale the salesman was not honest about the check engine light it was not on for no reason or a sensor it was on because the timing chain was wore out and could shut down engine that was the warning the light was given which is why I feel it's the dealerships responsibility to get this fixed the salesman lied to make a sale I am still awaiting my refund from purchasing another days tag which I was told I would get back I have purchased day tags twice now I should've known something wasn't right when salesman claimed he had missed there shipment of day tags an I would have to purchase them I have all paper work on vehicle and quotes for repairs as well as receipt for tags and title that I can fax to dealership if needed but I must say everything about this dealership is unprofessional and suspect I stand by how this matter should be settled and I refuse to go half on a backyard mechanic when I should have nothing less than a certified professional working on my vehicle

At the time of purchase *** did feel something with the transmission and it was fixedWe used [redacted] in circleville to do repairsBefore completion of sale *** had taken it to [redacted] to get looked at and scanned At that time it was the shift solenoid and needed replaced [redacted] had dropped it off to get repaired and picked it up when finished from [redacted] It has been close to a year from time of repair and this is the first I hear about thisShe lives across the street from Red Star, so she would see when we are here or closedAlso we don't raise prices of the vehicles for saleThe Sale price of the Jeep was plus tax title and doc feeShe also took gap insurance on this loanWe also have a returned check from her that we have been trying to collect of for about a yearI really don't feel this complaint is rightIf she had an issue with this Jeep after it was picked up by her after repair I sure Red Star or [redacted] would have heard from her before nowThanks and hope this sheds some light onto complaintRed Star Motors

Customer came and looked at said vehicle at a price of plus tax and titleThey test drove the srx and had no complaints about itSo price was negotiated to out the door if they payed cashWe expected that price and sold vehicle as is where is At that time there was no issues with srxThey came back the next day sat and test drove again and still no issue with srxThen they purchased the srx The car was sold and proper paperwork was signed as wellI have yet to see a invoice stating issue with the vehicle as stated When they bought it it was fineVehicle are mechanical and break downs can happen at any time We did offer to pay half of the repair if they used a mechanic shop that we useWhich was priced lower than the quote that they had receivedThat was not good enough for them so here we areWe don't set up people for failure and again srx was sold as is

I am rejecting this response because:    First I want to start m by saying, that is not correct.  I was with three people ,which only one of them is adult.  But I went in, [redacted] stated that after talking with his boss( owner) that he said they would fix the transmission.  But I was to sign and take care of all that first.  So I did.  While doing that I was text messaging a good friend about this car and the amount he had on the window.  Of 4999.  He had stated that that is cash price.  Affordable had my car for almost a month.  He kept saying he could figure it out.  It was either the one of two things.  He was to try the cheapest first.  After calling him several times.  He stated he thinks he had it.  When he said he completed the work.  I was to pick it up keys would be under front seat.  I never got a receipt of what was done.  I keep calling him telling him about still having trouble.  I bought  the car for my son, to leave for college.  To which is Nation honors, going in for Criminal Justice program.  I wanted this car to be safe.  But by Thanksgiving the cars transmission was total gone.  Not 60 days from buying.  I had to wait to get another car before it could be put in shop.  I had called [redacted] about this.  I paid 2000. Cash that day.  So after saving enough money to get it fixed it has cost us getting rent a cars three times over the summer to get us to places we needed to be.  The cost is 1350.00 and the company wrote out what shape the transmission was in and wrote up about the part ** said they put on was a junk yard part.  And not for the year of my Jeep.  He sending you a copy as well.  I feel they owe me since I had to have it done.
