To Whom It May Concern,I have reviewed the complaint with the staff members who assisted the customer We are unsure where the miscommunication happened and would like to clarify the warranties on products Our WORX and IRISH SETTER branded footwear come with a month limited warranty,
while our RED WING branded footwear comes with a year limited warranty (the first months is covered at 100%, while the last months is covered at a 50% pro-rated credit) The warranties start from the date of purchase, are limited to manufacturing defects, and do not cover issues related to wear/tear, abuse, or accident to the footwear If a customer chooses to have their footwear resoled through the manufacturer, there is a month warranty with the same limitations The shoe at the subject of the complaint was purchased on 3/21/ The outer soles had delaminated from the midsoles because the glue had dried out and lost it's elasticity due to the shoe not being worn regularly over the past years This situation is not covered under any warranty In regards to the resole process, we do not contract with anyone locally to do our shoe repair We send all of our repairs to the Red Wing repair facility in Red Wing, MN, which results in a 4-week turn around time We inform the customer of this before we do anything because of the long wait period Customers always have the option to find someone locally if they prefer to do so Mr***'s shoe took exactly weeks from the day he brought it in (9/9/14), to the day it was returned to our store (10/21/14) While we hope shoes return faster than what we quote, we never strayed from the 4-week time line None of us can recall Mr*** calling throughout the duration of the wait, however, we had no intentions of giving the run around It is possible that because we could not give an exact return date that Mr*** became frustrated with waiting so long As for the footwear itself, the repair was done as it was supposed to be The welt, midsole, and outer soles were completely replaced The new welt was stitched to the uppers, a midsole was attached to the welt, and the outer sole was glued to the midsole - just like how it was originally made The welt stitching does not go completely through to the bottom of the sole because that was not how it was designed Upon inspecting the repair job, a very slight gap is seen on one side While there is no way to be certain that this gap would affect the durability of the resole, we are confident that the repair would hold up just fine because we have had similar instances that resulted in no problems Mr*** requested that his shoe be completely redone We have sent the shoe back to Red Wing via UPS with a request that they expedite the repair for us After revisiting the situation, we can certainly understand Mr***'s frustration and regret that our actions caused Mr*** to feel that we were not being forthcoming with information We apologize for any miscommunication and while we cannot change what happened, we would like to know if there is something we can do to ease the dissatisfaction Sincerely,*** ***Store Manager

Great store. Replaced my boots because they were not tight around the heel, this place will be there when you need them... I buy American for a reason.

Excellent customer service, knowledgeable and helpful.

Poor customer service. I was pushed aside for a new customer today. I guess since I have been shopping here since The 80's I was taken for granted. SO I took my business to a different shoe store.
