we are still awaiting for the customer to return the defective item so we can replace it after inspection

I am rejecting this response... because: These are used transmission that they sell and they don't even have a way of showing if they are functional or not. They do not know if they are even properly functioning transmission. So they are saying if I get my receipt from my certified mechanic I will be getting my money back. If you have to be certified to install the transmission then they should only sell to certify people not just to anybody that walks in there that is how they are getting over on people who don't even have money to just be giving a way. Warranty: It says installation must be done by an ARD certified repair facility it doesn't say if it's not then the warranty is void. Why is there two different names on the company that sold me the transmission? One name is REDLINE and the other is redco.jp and both names are on the receipt.

I first contacted Redco concerning the Motor for the 2006 [redacted] Zion on August 10, 2015, I explained to ([redacted])...

what type of car, what size Engine I need. And he told me he had an Engine that was being rebuilt with Zero Miles. The agreed price was $2400. I gave a deposit of $400.with a $100. Core deposit. I paid a qualified Mechanic $700. To remove the old and install the new Engine. On August 19,2015 I delivered the old Engine to the Redco Facility in Modesto Ca. While I was inspecting the new Engine, I noticed that the Timing Chain Cover was different from the old to the new. So they removed the old cover and put it on the new Engine. My Mechanic installed the new Engine 0n August 23, 2015. In December of 2015 the check engine light went on. So I took the car to a mechanic and he diagnosed it as problem with the Cam shaft Sensor and an oil leak from the timing chain cover and a rear seal. He replaced the sensor. And the light went off for a day or so, and then came back on. So on December 17, 2015. I took the car to an Automotive Repair shop to have it Diagnosed and Repaired. About a week later they called and told me the problem was internal and they confirmed there was oil leaking from the head gasket. The Mechanic suggested I contact Redco since the engine was still under warranty and have them replace the Engine. I contacted Redco on December 31, 2015, I spoke with [redacted] and he said they would not give me another engine just because I asked for one. I would have to take the engine out and they would pick it up and take it to their shop to diagnose it and it was repairable they would repair it. So I had to pay another $1000. To the mechanic to remove and install the Engine. The mechanic removed the engine on January 10, 2016. I contacted Redco on January 19, 2016 and gave them the information as to where to pick up the engine. They picked it up on January 22, 2016 at the Automotive Repair Shop in San Jose Ca. I contacted Redco again on January 25, 2016 and asked how the repairs are going and was told to stop calling, that they had up to 10 days legally to repair or return the engine and that they would call me. On February 1, 2016, I called and spoke to [redacted] he told me that they had found some problems with the engine. 1. Was the cam shaft sensor cap were put in backwards. 2. Was the timing of the engine was off. 3. Was the oil pump was defective. But that they would cover that under the warranty. And that they had done the repairs and that it would cost me 4 labor hours which totaled $320. I said fine I’ll pay it as long as the engine is fixed. I also asked for an invoice he said he would e-mail it to me and that he would send out the engine as soon as possible. On February 4,2016, I called and again I spoke to [redacted] and he apologized for not getting back to me and said they were backed up and the engine would not be delivered until Saturday February 13, 2016, I told him my Mechanics shop was closed on Saturdays and that he would have to deliver it at my house. He said fine and that he would send the invoice with the driver, when the driver delivered the engine he did not have an invoice that [redacted] had said he would email it to me all he had was a credit card receipt. On Monday February 15, 2015 I delivered the engine to my Mechanic. He said he would not be able to install it for about week. When he did install it he said the engine was still bad and that I should contact Redco and get them to give me my money back or at least split the Labor cost to install again with me. On February 17, I called Redco again and this time I spoke with [redacted] Redco manager and he said he could not cover the labor that the most he could do is give me a used engine and refund the additional cost of the Rebuilt Engine. I have decided to file a claim. It is a matter of principle now.

Review: In August 19,2015 I bought 2AZ rebuild 0-mile engine with a 6 month warranty. I paid $1000.00 to install the engine in [redacted] Zion. In December of 2015 the check engine light went on. I took the car to a mechanic. He did a diagnostic and determined it was an oil pressure and cam shaft sensors and a head gasket leaking oil. I contacted Redco and they said they needed the engine to run a Diagnostic to determine what is wrong with the engine. I asked if they could give me another engine. They said they would try to repair it first if it is not repairable they would give another one. I another $1000.00 dollars to have it removed and install the new one.It took them 15 days form the time they picked up the engine and they charged me an additional $320.00 supposably for repair labor cost. I told them I did not mind paying the additional cost as long as the engine was repaired. well the Mechanic put the engine in and the engine is still bad.I contacted Redco again and this time they want to give a used engine. My Mechanic says I should just take them to court and try recoup my loses.Desired Settlement: Replace with a 0-mile engine and cover the cost for Installing it

Review: They sold me a transmission that was no good I called them and told them that my engine light came on and that there was a code #[redacted] that is a faulty transmission code and then I asked him if I can return it and they asked me for receipts of who installed it. The man on the phone said if I didn't have a receipt for a mechanic shop that my warrantee wasn't valid.Desired Settlement: Since then I had to go to another transmission shop because they wouldn't exchange my transmission and I need my car for work so I would like a refund.

Consumer

Response:

Consumer states that she has been refunded for the engine. Consumer remains dissatisfied with the way the whole transaction was handled. The delivery times promised were cancelled without notification and the correct engine was never delivered. After excessive opportunities given to the business consumer requested a refund if engine was not delivered by a certain date. Business decided to send refund without alerting consumer first about the non-delivery of the engine.
