Review: I booked a room at the business on March 12, 2014 for a trip I would be taking between July 19-July 26. Upon my arrival at the business late in the evening on July 19 (around 10:30pm), I was notified by the owner of the bed and breakfast that there was NO room for me on the evenings of Thursday July 24 though 26. I was being bumped from my reservation because a woman had reserved the room not only for a month, but was going to pay $350 a week for! First, I booked the room first - back in March 2014. Second, this woman made HER reservation on JULY 1. I thought it was first come, first served....not whoever paid more! And the owner of the B&B told me that she "couldn't pass up" such a large booking. So I was asked to go elsewhere for the evenings in question. (There was a different room available for me on the evening of July 26.) It is horrible business practice to bump someone from a room they booked FOUR MONTHS in advance of their trip, all because another person was willing to pay more. Another thing, is that the owner of the bed and breakfast KNEW of this issue over a week prior to my arrival, and she didn't think to inform me UNTIL I got there on the evening of July 19. I was given only a $50 refund for the inconvenience.Desired Settlement: I actually would like a FULL & COMPLETE refund, including the days that I actually did stay at the B&B. I was so disgusted with the situation, that if it wasn't so late at night when I arrived on July 19, that I would have gone elsewhere. If a full and complete refund is not given, I will settle for the Revdex.com knowing what horrible business practices this bed and breakfast uses. It's not a "first come, first served" kind of business. It's obviously a "whoever pays more" type of business.
