Review: I hired Redecor to reglaze my tiles and bathtub. The job came with a two year guarantee. After about a year, the tile started peeling, I called them, and they sent a repair person to fix the problem area. Within several weeks, there was peeling again. There were at least 6 months left on my two year warranty at that point. The receptionist said she would have to talk to her [redacted] about sending someone for a second repair. When I called back after a week or so, she said it would have to wait until after Passover. When I called after Passover, she said she still needed to talk to her [redacted]. I kept checking back every few weeks. At some point, I stopped being able to get through on the phone. I left at least a half a dozen messages on their voicemail which all went unreturned. I called their sister company in ** and left a message there which was never returned. Today I tried calling again, and it seemed like their phones were down. I would call and be picked up for a second, then the line would disconnect. I called their ** office to see if their phones were down in **, and when they heard my name, they hung up on me. I then tried calling their ** location from a number they wouldn't recognize, and they answered. The phones were fine all along. They were just screening my call. When I said my name, the receptionist literally hung up on me. I have been calling for months. I began calling them in March and now it is August. I wasted a ton of time trying to hunt them down, when they could have just told me that they didn't intend to honor the warranty. They could have claimed that only one repair was included in the warranty (even though that is stated nowhere in the contract). Instead they decided to avoid my calls and hang up on me like a child. It is pretty clear now that they never had phone problems (as they often claimed) and never intended to get back to me. Not only did they not honor the contract, they have wasted a ton of my time making me call them over and over in a futile attempt to try and get them to honor their contract. I admit some of my phone messages that I left expressed increasing annoyance and hostility, but when someone doesn't return your call about a warranty issue for several months, that will happen.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of 50% of what I paid. There was a 2 year warranty and the job only lasted a year, and they didn't honor the warranty. 6 months ago I just wanted them to repair the job, but given how they have treated me, I don't think I want anyone associated with this company in my home. I would like part of my money back so I can use it to hire a reputable company to do the repair.

Review: I had ReDecor reglaze our tub (removal of old paint, etc). We followed the directions as requested and did not use the tub for 48. We even waited an extra day and didn't use it just to make sure it was dry. We also made it a point to take extremely quick showers for one week. Once we used the tub we noticed that there were a couple of pointy paint peaks on the floor of the tub. We also noticed that the caulking used was not drying. We waited and two weeks later the caulking was still tacky and mold was growing rapidly. Due to some family health issues which resulted in a death in the family, I did not get around to calling until early August in which I left a message. On 8/*/15 I left another message and no response. On 8/**/15 I called again and spoke to Eileen in which I explained the situation and she proceeded to tell me they are extremely busy. She was very quick & dismissive. She told me they will call me to schedule appt sometime in Sept. I advised we would be on vacation through Labor Day. She advised they would call then and would not let me schedule an appt. Never heard back from them. I called week of [redacted] and left message. The mold was sooo bad that it was horrible and I was worried about our health especially with the speed it was growing and how nothing would take it away. Because we could not use bleach and I was afraid of any other kind of cleanser that would void the work warranty, we were concerned. My calls were going nowhere. Because I was not getting anywhere with the company, my husband wanted to recaulk at least to get the mold off. In doing so, he taped off the tub with painters tape which is supposed to be safe on all surfaces and it's not supposed to damage a surface when lifted. When he lifted the tape, the tape also brought up some of the tub refinish along the edges. When I called again with our problem and with our total disappointment in the new development that was created due to lack of responsiveness on their part, Eileen told me that it was not their problem and they couldn't help us. That they have nothing to do with mold and the fact that we used tape was our problem not theirs. They would not help. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she told me she was it. We also lost a bathroom tile in their cleanup in which I immediately called them in hopes that the worker would still have the trash. I was told by Eileen he did not.Desired Settlement: We would really like them to do a touch up if possible or resurface. If not, we would like to get a partial refund. It was due to their negligence of delaying and non-responsiveness that created the situation in which we had to do something. The floor tub still has the pointy paint peaks which hurt on the foot when one stands on them.

We would also like to make sure others are made aware how they don't care to follow-up. They never called to reschedule, never cared to send anyone out to look at situation, etc.

Review: This provider, "Topkote" formally of [redacted] reglazed my bathtub in December 2012. This work comes with a 10 year warrantee. I have had cracking and peeling problems since 2 days following the reglazing. They have come several times to "touch up." The rude woman who answers the phone told me she can't keep sending people to touch up. I agree. If it were done correctly in the first place we wouldn't be sending people to touch up. Turns out I had used Topkote from [redacted]n 2007 with similar issues. I thought this was a franchise and had no idea the [redacted] co were one in the same. They have now moved to [redacted] and go by the name Redecor. The phone # is still a NJ #. ###-###-####. They refuse to service my tub. I am either put on hold or hung up on.Desired Settlement: Bathtub is done correctly and lasts at least 5 of the 10 year warantee
