I am the manager of Redefine Design On the Avenue and I am writing in response to a consignor complaintI have also responded to her with a nice letter, a copy of our contract and a tax donation receipt. We did receive a sectional and it was donated because of it's conditionWe keep good
notes of the condition of the items when they come in and I had written that there were stains, pet hair and the pieces did not hook together. The sectional had a raised bottom welding that did not match up which led us to believe that there were one or two missing pieces. I called her on June 13, after it came in to discuss the condition but did not get a responseWe choose to try to sell it for her and put it on the floor for two monthsWe did not get any interest in it at all and decided to donate it. We apologized to her for having a bad experience consigning with us and we truly tried to sell her pieceOur contract states that we have the option of donating if the item does not meet our standardsWe feel that we have been fair to our customer by trying to sell the sectional and sending a tax donation receipt. The owner has also decided to send the consignor a check for $to make amendsWe did not receive any compensation on the donated sectional. Sincerely,*** ***
