I used this company in December 2015, movers were greatSince I didn't use the whole time I prepaid for I was told I would receive a portion back to meIt is now March 1st, and I have still yet to receive my refund for my moveI have called every two weeks since December to see the status on the check and I get the run around, boss not in office, oh yeah we're taking care of you, same thing everytimeSo tired of this run around and just want my refund checkNot to mention I have to give them my address everytime and they say they'll mail it out that day and email me a confirmation email, nope nothing

I really can't say enough good things about these moversI had some issues with my move so I actually ended up calling them days before the actual day to schedule and they fit me into the schedule (picking up one day and dropping off the next) with an great quoteThe secretary was very nice and helpful every time I calledThen the movers they sent were super nice and extremely hardworkingThey got everything out of my old apartment and into my new apartment in under hours (hours each end)My quote was exactly what I paid (no hidden fees yay)! Not thing was broken in this move and all my furniture was returned in the same condition they took it in which was amazing and says a lot about the care they put into their moving practicesThey wrapped all the furniture in either shrink wrap or in furniture blankets to keep them safeI will say they were a bit late both days, but honestly I kind of expected it (bad weather and traffic and scheduling and whatnot) and everything went so well I don't care!
I am SO happy that I picked Redi-Care movers! They made my move easy & stress free

I am disappointed to find an A+ business to have troubles like I had moving yesterday. The crew was three hours late. They smoked on my back porch with the screens open. The crew leader walked around saying 'jeez' under his breath when I showed him all the things that still had to go which shouldn't have been a surprise because I had told him a couple times that everything from such a point to such a point needed to go and he ignored me. He still didn't take my planters that I specifically told him needed to go. [redacted] and [redacted] were great. They worked hard and efficiently. One of the guys even pointed out that my book boxes were on the back porch when it started to drizzle. The leader told him it wasn't going to rain and to leave them. The other guy said it already is raining. They then left for dinner leaving my books in the light rain. The leader said because I boxed my television, it was no longer his concern if it was broken. I said of course it is. You could still bubble wrap the outside of the box, and he made a joke about thinking outside the box. Now I am quite worried about my TV. What else? They packed my kitchen and accidentally left a glass bottle out. I pointed this out at the end of the move and the leader grabbed the bottle without any packaging and took it into the truck. I asked him if he needed a box and he yelled out no. One of the other guys gave me a look and told me he was thinking the same thing. They were gone for over an hour for a dinner break, but when they got back, they said they were unhappy because they hadn't gotten any food. I suggested a pizza place, and the crew leader said that would be great if you are offering. I did buy them pizza. They dropped some on the floor and didn't clean it up and left their trash inside when they left. I told them I needed to get to work by 7pm, and I was reassured they would be done by then given their multiple breaks. The crew leader even gave me a 'told you so' as he was moving things, but they weren't done until 9pm. Did I mention they were three hours late? I'm so happy I did most of the packing myself.

Moving company moved my household. $1200 plasma TV was destroyed during the move. When I try to call to file a claim, they won't call me back.I hired Redi-Care to move to my new home. In the process of moving, they destroyed a 54" $1200 plasma TV. I called immediately to report this and was informed they would only pay $0.60 per pound, which would be less than $25. The person that I spoke with could not explain the claims process or how long it would take to resolve. I was told each time I called that the person responsible for claims would call me back, but that has yet to happen.Desired SettlementI provided Redi-Care the receipt for the item when we purchased it. I would like the item either replaced or to be paid the value of the item so I can replace it myself.Business Response /[redacted]/Client([redacted]) received a call from claims [redacted] ) today in response to complaint received on 2/6/15.Her basic value coverage(which was initial by her on two moving forms) is for $.60 cents per lb for item damaged(50" tv). The client is not satisfied with that, I told her I would notify the owner of her displeasure and would call her by Friday as to his resolution. She agreed.Consumer Response /[redacted]/I was not notified of the coverage until after the move was completed. No paperwork was sent as promised for me to sign before the move. I spoke with [redacted] as late as Thursday before the Friday move to let her know that I had not received the paperwork to sign and to confirm the move was still happening. After the move was complete, and before I had the opportunity to inspect my items, I was asked to sign the documents, not before. In addition, I was then harassed by multiple phone calls to release payment before I had the opportunity to inspect my items.Final Business Response /[redacted]/Hello [redacted],As per your e/m dated 2/12/2014, Redi-Care Movers have agreedfor a refund of your moving fee in the amount of $299.37 as requested by you, for the damaged 50" TV on Feb. 6,2015.Revdex.com case # XXXXXXXX Ref#XX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-X-XXX dated Feb. 11th,2015.We do apologize for the inconvenience, we do strive for customer satisfaction.A check is being issued today in the full amount of $299.37. XXXXXFinal Consumer Response /[redacted]/I was told I was going to receive a refund for the shipping services as compensation for the damaged TV. Initially a check was to be mailed. I then was asked about times that a check to be delivered. I have not heard anything back since, so no resolution has been reached.

Redi-Care Movers have not processed the claim I filled of damages they did to my property during the move. Customer Ser. is terrible and unresponsive.I have been reaching out to Redi-Care Movers Moving Company regarding an open claim. I have not been getting answers to my emails and calls regarding the disbursement of the money since their last communication on June 2016. I have sent a total of 32 emails with late response and in most occasions, no response since I submitted the claim almost 20 months ago. I have called countless times and the "claims person" is not available or not in the office. I always leave message with the person that answers the phone, but I do not get a return call. Redi-care did not want to honor the Full Value Protection coverage I paid for without depreciation. After quoting specific clauses of the [redacted] they agreed to change the reimbursement for some of the articles, but not for all. I cannot stress enough how extenuating this claim process have been. I am very tired of claiming what is rightfully mine. I told Redi-Care I wanted to get resolution to this claim without having to publicly express the frustration of my terrible experience as a consumer and I gave them the chance to keep their word, but it obviously did not work. I am still waiting to receive the disbursement of the payment, but it does not matter how much I try, I cannot get a response from Redi-Care. I am sorry to say this because I support small businesses, but I would not recommend this moving company to anyone. The experience has been and continue to be a true burden.Desired SettlementI just want to get the payment for claim regarding the property damaged by the movers for which I paid Full Insurance for.Business Response Contact Name and Title: Ms. [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@redicaremovers.comIn reference to Complaint#XXXXXXXX. My complaint with this company is to bring awareness and hopefully this company can provide better business practices and follow-up for future clientsMy complaint with this company is to bring awareness and hopefully this company can provide better business practices and follow-up for future clients. My complaints are as follows:1) Wrong size truck for the move: Moving Company did not show up with the appropriate sized truck for the move. All items could not be added onto the truck, which consequently left behind key items that should have been included. When I requested that a second trip be made to correct this, I was told that I would get charged for additional hours for the move. The Moving company should have had the appropriate sized truck based on the quote2) Handling of items: The truck was loaded incorrectly without stacking the furniture to accommodate for more space. One of the drivers had to take all the furniture off and re-stock the truck which took and additional hour (That I had to pay for). During the stocking of the truck there was an item broken. It was reported immediately however was never correct (will explain that later). 3) Inadequate tools and equipment for the move: The guys did what they could to move furniture however when it came to larger items and appliances there was an issue. For example my washer and dryer were located on the 2nd floor. When it was moved I hear banging onto each step as the units came down the stairs. They were literally dropping the unit on each stair rather than having the appropriate tools to move it smoothly. I later noticed that the washer door was chipped (of course that was 3 days later). 4) Length of time: The time it took for the move was really slow. I received an initial quote of around 4 hours for the move. While I know things can go longer, but this moved cost TWICE as much! The amount should have been mitigated as much as possible; however the movers were a little slow and not efficient because of the lack of tools the company provides for them5) Broken Item: The tempered glass top of my media center was broken will items were being stocked on the truck. The incident was reported immediately. The company stated that they would take care of it. A couple of weeks later I had to make contact with the company. There's only one lady that works once a week in their claims department. She was not great about returning calls. I finally just asked for the owner of the company. We communicated a few times and tried to arrange times for him to do a site check (keep in mind one of the employee took photos that day of the incident). Our schedules just didn't align and a few times the owner had something come up during our scheduled meeting so I never heard from him again. I should not have to continuously follow-up on this. 6) Customer Service: The claims department should be more efficient in handling claims. I never received a replace glass for my media center nor did I receive any reimbursement for the item based on the insurance I signed up for. The owner has no longer initiated communication to get this resolved. The owner NEVER offered any reimbursement for the time wasted during the move, nor did he even offer to move the additional items that were left during the move because of the truck being too small. I'm writing this to warn future clients and to also help to company improve its customer services and practicesDesired Settlement1)Refund for the 1 Hour wasted Re-Loading the truck due to Movers not loading correctly the first time2) Either a replacement for the broken tempered glass for the media unit, or the insurance claim to be settled.Other than that I hope the company can improve customer service for future clients.Business Response /[redacted]/We received correspondence from the Revdex.com regarding your claim from October 11,2013.We responded on Oct 23rd for pictures. After we received, we left messase for you to call and confirm a date we could pickup glass and repair it.We tried on Oct 31st for Nov 2nd and On Nov 5th you talked to the owner to set up appt for Nov 6 to meet you to pick up.Then on Nov 19th the owner left message to set up another appt. Unfortunately,it seem we could never get the time or date suitable for you.We tried to pick up the glass and get it fixed but we needed the 2nd glass so we could get the right measurements. I will be in the office on Thursday, please let me know if you want the 1 hour or to get the glass repaired to settle this claim? We do apologize for the inconvenience. I will wait to hear from you. Thank you, [redacted]Claims Manager,Redicare Movers Consumer Response /[redacted],I can also share my dates with you, but please be advised that you have not made followup attempt to contact me to resolve this. If already stated that I'd be filing this because to the concerns I meant jones each time I contacted your company. I should not have to continuously hunt this down when it should be in your policy to resolve customer issues. So, as far as the broken item. You can send reimbursement. As far as the other items such as the unpacking and re packing of the truck which took an additional hour, please let me know how you plan to address. Also, not supplying a truck to accommodate the full move as requested, please let me know how you will address that. I should not have had to do another move for the all the items left. Please adviseThanksFinal Business Response /[redacted]/Good Morning [redacted], Thank you for your quick response , we will certainly refund you the additional hour of $110.00 andwe need the weight of the component cabinet stand for the $.60 cents per lb reimbursement for the glass that was broken during your move Oct 11,2013 we have the picture you sent but not the make or model. If you have a receipt we can do much faster. Let us know. Thanks[redacted]Claims/Redi-Care MoversFinal Consumer Response /[redacted]/(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)Thanks [redacted]The weight for the tempered glass top only is about 4-5ibs. I'm okay with the weight per pound reimbursement since both me and the owner's schedule did not match up for a replacement. Reimbursement for the 1 hour I feel is an appropriate compromise ($110.00 reimbursement )At this point I will not worry about inconvenience for moving the remaining items myself. Thanks so much for your cooperation. [redacted]
