I am responding to you letter of 3/1/2017. We have been a licensed, bonded floorcovering contractor in Redmond as of 10/21/1979. We do service work, such as the complaint listed herein,as a public service. Mrs. [redacted] stated she wanted a professiona l to re-attach her carpet, the result of a...

remodel and new tile on the floor. She was having trouble finding a professional the help her out. We agreed to send a person out for a service charge of $145.00 plus tax.   Our installer completed doorway install and mentioned to customer that others had impacted the tile. He also noted that a Shulter AE metal, was not installed, on the leading edge by their tile contractor. This would protect the leading edge from impact. The question of who and when remains to be seen. The situation became adversarial immediately. Our man on the jobsite was ca lled a liar and the door was shut in his face. It is unacceptable to treat someone who has come to your home to perform a service,in this manner. She then proceeded to call the store and repeat the same bad logic, 7-8 times of possible damage. I ask her to send a picture of the doorway. She then wanted to verbally abuse me and I respectfully told her our conversation was over and I would make time on Monday to stop by and look at the problem. Early Monday morning, before the store opened, her husband called and wanted a time, the time I had scheduled, was unacceptable to them. I agreed to come by the next day at 8:30 am.  I revived another phone call from her and she proceeded to berate and verba lly abuse me! When I explained to here I would stop over the next day, that the conversation was over, and said good bye. Her husband called back and left a message, that after the way I had ta lked to his wife (he inferred disrespectfully) that Iwas no longer welcome in his house. And not to call his return number.   We have one of the oldest business in Redmond and have taken pride in never being involved in a lawsuit or customer complaint. I will not however, allow our staff or management to be abused by a client, who feels it is their God given right because we got involved in their project. Those who defy a logical conversation and engage in builing, will not be extended additiona ltime, to continue the assault. Regards, John H[redacted]
