Reel construction was performing repair services on my neighbors garage and shared fence that had occurred from a fire. The workers were extremely vulgar to the point that my children couldn't be outside in their own backyard to play, also when they were done putting up the shared fence they left all of their charred up debris on our side of the fence leaving us to clean up and take it to the garbage dump. We also discovered that they had dug up a bunch of dirt while installing the fence and ruined our DG ground covering. I called the company right a way when we discovered what had been done and talked to a really nice secretary who was going to have some call me back, but I have waited 4 days now and nothing. I know my neighbor wasn't satisfied with their work and I now see a different company over there finishing the work. Just because this company lost my neighbors account doesn't mean I don't deserve a call back and apology. I think this company is extremely unprofessional and would never recommend or use them for anything.Desired SettlementWould like to see this posted on your website and see a mark on their rating. Our customer is extremely happy with the work completed and with our workers. We have not lost the job (account). Reel Construction is continuing to do the repairs. We were finally able to make contact with the person who wrote the complaint, [redacted], (again not our customer). She explained that she did not respond as she was on vacation. We believe we have come to an understanding and the issue has been resolved. We also explained that workers will be on site in short order and will be on good behavior, we hope, to her satisfaction.As to question of the workers being vulgar, this is not acceptable behavior at Reel Construction and is not tolerated. However please understand that next to the fence in question, our customer planted many cacti. These cacti had to be worked around while building the fence as to not damage the cacti. As you can imagine building the fence next to the cactus caused minor injuries and discomfort to the worker while they completed the fence.Again our customer is extremely happy with both our work and our employees.Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call.Thank You,[redacted]Reel ConstructionConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I reject this response from the business owner due to inconsistencies with my concern. While vulgar language is unacceptable ( which has been resolved so far) the main problem I have is that during the construction of the fence Reel construction shifted burnt fence poles and shoveled charred debris onto my property without cleaning it up. I spoke with the workers at the time and they had mentioned that they needed access to my backyard. I then proceeded to lock my dog inside the house and unlocked the side gate so that they would have access. They did not follow through and left the debris and "mess" on my property requiring my husband to clean it up and take it to the garbage dump. This is the main issue for this complaint and require him to address this in his resolution before I will be satisfied. He also never mentioned the cactus however I do not think that should be grounds for his workers to leave a mess on my property I feel as though it was extremely unprofessional and he seems to justify this in his response which I don't appreciate. Final Business Response We have been in contact with [redacted], the neighbor making the complaint. We have apologized for leaving debris on her side of the fence. [redacted] has accepted our apology. [redacted] has explained she is now satisfied with our workers behavior. It is not our intention to cause stress or conflict with customer's neighbors. It is our hope that any further work is not disruptive to [redacted]'s family.
