I would like to say my whole experience with New York State Fence has been exceptional, but it has not When I first called to set up an appointment for an estimate, I never received a return call Two weeks later, I posted on their *** page my unhappiness and a sales person called me that day I decided to go with NYS Fence as their estimate was lower than the other company I spoke toBefore I signed the contract, I was told minimum weeks from the time I signed the contract before the fence would be installed I signed the contact in July The last weekend of August, I received an email stating they still did not have a time frame on when my fence would be installed In October I called to inquire as I had received no further updates When I contacted the company around 4:pm on a Monday, the scheduler came right out and told me she wouldn't have answered my call because she thought I was someone else she was waiting to hear from She couldn't locate my contract and promised to call me back the next morning I finally called her Wednesday as she never called back on Tuesday When I talked to her on Wednesday she tells me I will be receiving a call soon to schedule the installation and they were just there to stake out my property I saw no signs they did, but that could have been due to where the fence was being installed and the stacks were not needed On that Friday they called and scheduled it for that Monday (10/17) I honestly don't feel I would have been scheduled if I didn't call The installers showed up and after talking to them, they left for a few hours They had to remove portions of the driveway where the posts were being installed They didn't tell me where they were going to dump the dirt from the holes would also be the spot where they dumped the pavement So now I have to smooth out the dirt and remove the pavement I was told the gates would take about weeks to be custom made I finally called today as it's going on weeks The installers never submitted the measurements to have my gate made They are suppose to be building the gates and installed in the morning (11/11) I am hesitant to say they will follow through on this until I actually see the gates were installed At this time, I would be hesitant to suggest New York State Fence to my friends and family

I did get a copy of this complaint and after reviewing I would like to respond with the followingWe did have a contract with Teresa and due to the very hot weather and extremely dry conditions we were running behind schedule for our estimated installation dateWe did call Teresa and installed
her fence on 8/16/and followed up with her to make sure she was completely satisfied. Tom J *** President/ CEO New York State Fence Inc

In response to *** ***'s complaints I would like to respond with the following. *** our salesman did meet *** to address her concerns and did agree that of her posts were looseThis usually happens when the posts are shaken before the concrete curesHe did advise her that her
fence was under warranty and he would be happy to correct, at no charge any issues pertaining her loose postsIt was never brought to ***'s attention about the fence alignment near the gate being 1/2" offIf the fence is out of alignment, that too will be corrected under warrantyThe fence alignment at the rear of the yard was installed as straight as possible because of the very large tree that the fence line is very close toIt was explained to *** that the only way to correct the alignment would be to have the very large tree removedIt was also explained to her if she decided to have the tree removed it would take additional trips to the site to remove the fence, then return and re install the fence once the tree was removedAs for leaving branches in the yard the installation crew trimmed the branches as a courtesyOn ***'s contract it clearly stated that she was to trim all bushes and branches before the fence was to be installedThe crew did leave the trimmed branches in a pile in her yardWhen *** complained about the branches left in her yard the salesman *** carried them to the roadHe did this as a courtesy to her even though it was her responsibility to trim and dispose of the branches before the fence was to be installed
I assure you customer satisfaction is very important to our company and I will make sure any concerns with her fence are corrected to her satisfactionIf *** decides to remove the tree I would even be willing to remove the sections of fence near the tree and re install them at no charge after the tree removal just to keep *** as a satisfied customer*** ***, President/CEO

We are looking for $500 discount on the total for the damages

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I would appreciate it if the Company could fix the loose posts and look at the front that is off about a half inch as soon as possible. I very much appreciate the willingness to remove the portion of the fence near the tree and reinstall after the tree is taken down - if I decide to take the tree down. Thank you

I spoke to Mr [redacted] and after clarifying what I was planning to do regarding the post installation and the monetary settlement offered he was satisfied with the resolution  Tom J T[redacted]  President.

I received this complaint from Mr. [redacted] for the first time 12/28/15. The complaint was being sent to our sales department and because of an internal problem with our computers it was being caught up in spam and was not being received by me.I have reviewed Mr. [redacted]'s complaint and would...

like to respond as follows.  Due to being very busy at the time of his contract and having to custom make his fence our installation time did actually take almost 9 weeks which was approx. 1 week over what was told to Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] signed our contract on 7/6/15 and his credit card deposit was charged on 7/7/15. It is our company policy and a letter is sent to all customers that they are required to meet our crew the day of installation to confirm the exact location of their fence so there can not be any mistakes. Due to the fact of the vent being in the way of the fence there was a small opening under the overhang that could not be closed in with a standard fence panel. The installation crew installed an existing lattice panel that Mr. [redacted] had on site to close the opening. We were under the assumption that it was acceptable because Mr [redacted] paid his balance in full on 11/5/15 and we did not hear of any complaint pertaining to this issue. There was an issue where the locks needed to be adjusted and that issue was resolved within a week after we received the call. If Mr. [redacted] would like us to make a custom panel to match his fence  which will fit under his overhang, I would be willing to remove the lattice panel and make and install a new panel at no charge.

estimated installation date by approximately 2 weeks. We did install her fence on 9/12/16 which ended up being approximately 2 weeks past the original estimated date. [redacted] has her fence now and should be completely satisfied with the installation.  Tom J T[redacted] President/ CEO

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  I want to be clear on the actions going forward.  The pieces that he is agreeing to install are already "installed" but are not secure in the ground, and 1 post is roughly 1-2" off the ground and is broken. As per pictures submitted to the owner he agreed this is not acceptable.  We want to make sure that these are going to be fixed properly.  We will except the monetary value. Regards,  [redacted]
