For Starters, We are Sorry to both You & the [redacted] Family that it has come this Far & we are Talking under these? Conditions! ? ? ? ? ? ? I was Under the Impression that Everything was Going to be Worked Out between Us - Contractor / Customer without the Use of a Third Party! ? ? ? ? ? ? In the Letter I Received it shows that [redacted] has Dates listed as far as Last Times we Communicated with the Last One being 06/03/16!? ? ? ? ? ? ? Just so there is No Confusion there was Always Communication between both? Contractor & Customer - Both [redacted] & long after the 06/Date listed in Letter under the Complaint Background! ? ? ? ? ? ? ? The Saturday, January Date? there was a Meeting Between the Three of? Us at Residence in which I Explained in Person the Problems that? I was Having Personally with My Family which was Consisted of Major Medical Suffering as well as a Domino Effect of Negative? Issues that came Along with that as Well.? I Explained that Project would Possibly Last Longer than Usual & also that my Commitments to This was Mainly during the Day / Business Hours!? Result of Meeting was that Work Could Proceed On! ? ? ? ? ? ? The Monday, February Date listed the only Communication? that Date was a Text from [redacted] to me in Morning Stating that Their Cleaning Lady would be Working at House during Day so we Don't Startle one Another - in which I did Meet Her!? I worked at House that Day from 9:am - 3:pm! ? ? ? ? ? ? The Friday, June Date was a Letter? Sent by [redacted] ? in which I Sent a Text to Both on Sunday, June Trying to Arrange to Work Something Out & I Explained for the First Time how I would be Willing to Complete Project for Free for Them!? Which is a $4,Discount! ? ? ? ? ? ? On Wednesday, June 8th at Residence I Spoke with [redacted] in Person as what has Recently Transpired with Negative Issues & I Explained in Person? how I would be Willing to Complete Project for Them for Free along with Details!? [redacted] had Stated that They would Discuss at Home Level & let me know! ? ? ? ? ? ? After Numerous Text Messages & Phone Calls from 06/- 07/24,? I Received a Text from [redacted] on Sunday, July (long after the 06/Date Listed) saying that They would like to Hear what I have to Offer! ? ? ? ? ? ? ? The Sunday, July 24; Monday, July 25; Monday, August 1st;? & Thursday, August 4, were All Text Communications between me? &? Both [redacted] as Far as the Offer I Made to Them as far as Completing the Project!? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? I was Under the Impression that I was Returning after Holidays to Complete the Entire Interior (and if anything was Completed Already - by Them as [redacted] Stated on 06/08) then They could Add on Additional Interior Work!? If They decided Not to Complete Interior, then I? was to Complete the Exterior for Them!? The only Exterior on the Original Contract was a Small Second Floor Deck in which I would now be Completing Entire Exterior which is a Great Benefit Financially for Customers! ? ? ? ? ? ? A Few other Topics I want to Address as Well!? ? ? ? ? ? ? Customer is Bringing Up an Acquaintance? in which a Project was Delayed!? I do Not Know Who / What They are Talking About as the Only other Time Besides this in which We Fell Behind was? when there? was? Flooding a Couple Times with a Severe Flood? Issue a? Few Years Ago & our Entire Area & Surrounding Suburbs was Flooded!? Not only did I Suffer Damages at my? Personal Residence which Caused Delays by Itself but Numerous Customers of Ours - both Current Projects at the Time in Which we had Contracts for with Interior? & Exterior Work? but also Customers whose Work was to be Completed in the Future!? ? ? ? ? ? ? Everything was Resolved with Numerous Work Out Plans either at that Present Time or to be Completed in Future!? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? As You know, We have an A+ Rating with the Revdex.com & of Course do Not want that Damaged! ? ? ? ? ? ? We are a Family Owned & Operated Business!? When Project was Being Delayed for Medical & Family Issues, We? could of Easily went & Hired a Few? Workers who One You Can't Trust Inside Someone's Personal Residence & Two are Usually Non Professional Slop & Mop Painters as we Describe Them? to Complete the Work!? I am Positive if Customers Came Home? One? Day? & Seen a Bunch of Strangers Roaming around Their House They Wouldn't be Happy with that! ? ? ? ? ? ? ? We Usually have Three of Us Working for Business but One of the Personal Issues I Discussed was that I was by Myself for this Project & also for the Near Future but that it was Only Temporarily!? ? ? ? ? ? ? We are Known for Our High End Quality & Detailed Work thru All Stages from Day One of Project Till Completion!? The Majority of Our Clientele is High End Residential in? All of? Hello *** Family & Revdex.com Customer Relations Advocate, This is the Requested Written Reply to Letter Received in Mail Dated, Friday, 09/30/& Postmarked Monday, 10/03/16! Contractor Received this Letter in Mail on Thursday, 10/06/13! I had a Few Questions for the Revdex.com before Replying & Spoke with Office on Wednesday, 10/& I was told that this Case was Closed due to Non Response! I asked on what Basis was this Determined & was told that I had Days to Reply! I Agreed & told Yes I know that & also that is Stated in Letter as Well but I Informed that I was Not Past the Required Days! I Spoke with Two Separate Workers (I have Names but are Irrelevant) that Stated that the Days Starts from the Date of the Letter! On my 2nd Phonecall when I had Letters & Paperwork with me, I Informed that the Letter is Dated 09/30, the Envelope is Postmarked 10/(and I Could Send Over Right Now) & I received as Mentioned 10/so as the Letter States I have Days from when Received & with Today being the 12th what is the Problem! I was Told that the Revdex.com Computer System goes by the Letter Date! I said that would be Fine if it was an Email that was sent on that Date but How can it Go by that Policy when it is being Sent by Mail! They Stated that if They had an Email Address it would have been Sent that way! I Explained how the Revdex.com (along with Customer as Well) does have Email & how on 09/I Replied to the 1st Letter by Email & How the Revdex.com Auto Replied Instantly that Received & then the Next Day on 09/sent me an Email Stating that Everything is being Processed along with Next Steps, so that the Revdex.com had Email Address since 09/25! I Asked to Speak with a Manager or Someone with Higher Authority! I was Transferred to *** (He Told to Include His Name in this Reply) & said Understands & Agrees with Everything I Explained Above & Stated would make Sure that it is Noted in Case File & to Go Ahead & Reply to Letter as I Planned! Once Again, Contractor is Sorry to the *** Family & to the Revdex.com that we are Going Back & Forth with This Inconvenience to All of Us! Contractor has Informed All that this Started with Medical Issues in Family along with Personal Family Issues that came Along as Well with Some due to Initial Medical issues & Some that has been Occurring Off & On for Awhile! There is Nothing that We Could have done Differently to Complete the Work During Everything Going On or Reimbursed the Money when Requested! When this All Started when the Customer Complained & before the Revdex.com was Even Involved, the Contractor sat Down with Family & thought of All Ways Possible to End This & Basically there is Only Two! Complete Work or Reimburse Money! Contractor can Not Afford to Reimburse the Deposit & Start of Project Payment neither in Full or with Making any Large Payments! With the Amount of $4,200+ Due & to try to Offer Small Monthly Payments would take Multiple Years to Complete in which I know Neither of Us want! So to Complete the Work & Make an Offer that Would be Beneficial to Customer is All that is Left, Plus would be Completed as a Faster Resolution! As Stated Contractor will Complete All Work Listed on Original Contract for Free! Which is $4,Discount! As I Mentioned if Customer was Going to Complete any of Interior Work by Themselves in which was Told & also Shown to me on June 8th then Customer could Add on other Interior Rooms / Work! If Customer either Completed All Interior Work and / or did Not want Interior Completed at All then Contractor is Offering to Complete Entire Exterior for Them for Free which is Give / Take an Equal Project! As for Scheduling & Customer Commenting that Not Taking Seriously since I Said it Would be Next Year! At the Time with the Negative Issues Contractor was Dealing with it would of have Been Impossible to Complete Immediately & then We would be Right Back Here in the Same Situation! So to Explain what I am Offering is that if it is Interior Work then Contractor would Start Right After Holidays / New Year! If it is Exterior then Contractor would Start Right at End of Winter! Of Course We would Start Over with New Contracts Explaining Everything in Detail & Contractor would Dedicate Everything to Project from Start to Finish! Customer mentions an Acquaintance / Friend that had an Issue with Our Company in Past! Once Again there is Not any Customer that is Still Waiting for Us to Complete Any Project At All! As Mentioned the Only Other Time We Suffered any Delays & Issues was with the Flooding that Hit Our Entire Area & it Actually Happened a Few Times a Couple Years in a Row but There was only One Main Incident that Effected Us in which We Suffered Damage to Our Home, Our Office, Our Shop, & Of Course Customers in Which We had Contracts Already Signed were Either Adding on Work or Switching Around to Then Complete the Damaged Areas & Not the Original Work! We also had a Bunch of New Customers / Work that was Referred to Us! Once Again there is No Customer that is Waiting for Any Work to be Completed! Having a Large Setback like the Flooding from the Past or the Current Medical / Family Issues along with the Smallest / Minor Problem Adds on a Domino Effect that Sometimes Gets Out of Control! Statistically after Completing Thousands of Projects Anyone is Going to Suffer Something Negative at One Point or Another! Contractor Entered into this Project Like the Thousands Before to Complete at the Highest Level! That is Why from Day One They Started with Step One of Their Detailed Preparation! Complete Cleanliness of Working Area & Surrounding Areas! Communication of All Details with Customers! Numerous Samples both On & Off of Surfaces! Decorative & Texture & Faux Finishing Options that Contractor was Also Going to Include at No Cost - At Start of Project - before any Negative Issues even Began! Contractor even Gave Customer $as a Friendly Gesture for Them & Kids for Their first Cocktail when They were Going on a Few Day Vacation - and this was when Negative Issues where Ongoing & could Not Afford at All! Contractor has been Completing Painting & Decorating Work in the Chicago Area from Hyde Park to North Shore & Gold Coast Areas along with the La Grange & All Surrounding Suburbs for Over Years & with a Clientele & Resume that is Priceless! I am rejecting this response because: my husband and I have been more than fair and patient in trying to accommodate contractor's business interruptions and seeking follow up from him, but we have no basis to trust him any furtherWe have felt manipulated and lied to and do not believe contractor has any intent on finishing the work regardless of how much of a 'discount' contractor believes he may be offering

I am rejecting this response because:The contractor has not resolved our deep satisfaction Outside of formal communications including our contract and the three formal complaint letters we sent the contractor, we have had numerous in person, phone call and text communicationsWith each one, contractor made promises and never deliveredAt first we were very sympathetic of contractor's issues and offered to make the work space available nights and weekendsWe adjusted which rooms he was working on so he could start and finish a smaller projectWe communicated on numerous occasions that this was a very large expense for us and were eager to get the work doneWe offered to have him leave the work space as is and not clean up after he finished for a day so that he could accomplish more in a dayEach time we asked what was possible and if he could complete certain sections by a certain dateEach time his response was yes and each time he failed to deliver The contractor's response to the last written communication demanding repayment and offering a repayment plan over several months was that he would have an offer for usHowever, it was no different than every other time we expressed our dissatisfaction: he offered to do the work for no additional cost but this last time he suggested doing it next year! So we did not respond to his last offer because we did not believe it to be sincere, nor has he ever delivered on promises in the past, and we don't believe he would ever actually show up to do the job Certainly waiting more than months to complete an interior paint job is unreasonable, especially when we have already paid over $4,000.Having discussed this situation with a friend, it turns out the same situation happened to his family with the same excuses in the same order with the same result - never any painting done.We strongly believe the contractor entered into this contract in bad faith and has taken our money with no reasonable remedyIf he couldn't complete the job, we wish he would have just said so and worked out a deal with another contractor to take on his work a year agoInstead he kept making promises that he never fulfilled after our multiple attempts to work with him

Customer mentions an Acquaintance / Friend that had an Issue with Our Company in Past! Once Again there is Not any Customer that is Still Waiting for Us to Complete Any Project At All! As Mentioned the Only Other Time We Suffered any Delays & Issues was with the Flooding that Hit Our Entire Area & it Actually Happened a Few Times a Couple Years in a Row but There was only One Main Incident that Effected Us in which We Suffered Damage to Our Home, Our Office, Our Shop, & Of Course Customers in Which We had Contracts Already Signed were Either Adding on Work or Switching Around to Then Complete the Damaged Areas & Not the Original Work! We also had a Bunch of New Customers / Work that was Referred to Us! Once Again there is No Customer that is Waiting for Any Work to be Completed! Having a Large Setback like the Flooding from the Past or the Current Medical / Family Issues along with the Smallest / Minor Problem Adds on a Domino Effect that Sometimes Gets Out of Control! Statistically after Completing Thousands of Projects Anyone is Going to Suffer Something Negative at One Point or Another! Contractor Entered into this Project Like the Thousands Before to Complete at the Highest Level! That is Why from Day One They Started with Step One of Their Detailed Preparation! Complete Cleanliness of Working Area & Surrounding Areas! Communication of All Details with Customers! Numerous Samples both On & Off of Surfaces! Decorative & Texture & Faux Finishing Options that Contractor was Also Going to Include at No Cost - At Start of Project - before any Negative Issues even Began! Contractor even Gave Customer $as a Friendly Gesture for Them & Kids for Their first Cocktail when They were Going on a Few Day Vacation - and this was when Negative Issues where Ongoing & could Not Afford at All! Contractor has been Completing Painting & Decorating Work in the Chicago Area from Hyde Park to North Shore & Gold Coast Areas along with the La Grange & All Surrounding Suburbs for Over Years & with a Clientele & Resume that is Priceless! I am rejecting this response because:The contractor has not resolved our deep satisfaction.  Outside of formal communications including our contract and the three formal complaint letters we sent the contractor, we have had numerous in person, phone call and text communications. With each one, contractor made promises and never delivered. At first we were very sympathetic of contractor's issues and offered to make the work space available nights and weekends. We adjusted which rooms he was working on so he could start and finish a smaller project. We communicated on numerous occasions that this was a very large expense for us and were eager to get the work done. We offered to have him leave the work space as is and not clean up after he finished for a day so that he could accomplish more in a day. Each time we asked what was possible and if he could complete certain sections by a certain date. Each time his response was yes and each time he failed to deliver.  The contractor's response to the last written communication demanding repayment and offering a repayment plan over several months was that he would have an offer for us. However, it was no different than every other time we expressed our dissatisfaction: he offered to do the work for no additional cost but this last time he suggested doing it next year! So we did not respond to his last offer because we did not believe it to be sincere, nor has he ever delivered on promises in the past, and we don't believe he would ever actually show up to do the job.  Certainly waiting more than 15 months to complete an interior paint job is unreasonable, especially when we have already paid over $4,000.Having discussed this situation with a friend, it turns out the same situation happened to his family with the same excuses in the same order with the same result - never any painting done.We strongly believe the contractor entered into this contract in bad faith and has taken our money with no reasonable remedy. If he couldn't complete the job, we wish he would have just said so and worked out a deal with another contractor to take on his work a year ago. Instead he kept making promises that he never fulfilled after our multiple attempts to work with him.
