[redacted]DOCUMENTS ATTACHED[redacted]Response to complaint ID [redacted] for Reflective Energy Solutions.Over the last year we have installed radiant barrier in 20+ homes and have had no complaints or issues. When [redacted] said she was having issues we went right down  and looked over the system to...

make sure there was no issues. At that time we noticed she had some misconception that the barrier would take place of installing an air conditioning unit. It is not designed for that, it is designed to help reflect the heat coming through the roof as the sun heats the roof increasing the temperature in the attic. There will still be heat that comes through windows, walls and doors. The barrier helps in the summer by helping keep the heat from heating the attic so much which in turns heats the home more as well as help keep the heat in during the winter to reduce heat bills. Of all the homes we have installed, the savings have  been anywhere from 10-25% o? energy bills. This comes from both having to run AC less in summer to less heat needed in winter from not losing all the heat to the attic and roof. When we went down to try to resolve this issue I advised her since she does not have AC, it would be best to open windows at night to help cool her house down. At no point did I tell her she would not have to do this because her house would be 35 degrees cooler. We have seen temperatures in attics up to 35 degrees cooler with the barrier installed but thats why we tell all of our customers up to those savings because if varies house by house. I believe she is having buyers remorse because she believed it would take place of a whole home AC unit, which it is not designed to do. It is designed to reduce the heat in the house so it is not as warm as outside. She sent multiple pictures which show there was a difference in temperature inside from out side for example Thursday July 6th at 5:36 PM it was 82.2 inside and 93.6 outside which is a 11.4 degree cooler difference inside showing its working. Another was Saturday July 8th it was 82.8 inside and 94.8 outside which is a 12 degree difference again showing its working. She then sent pics at around 10 pm showing same temp inside as outside which by this time the sun is not out so the barrier is no longer reflecting the sun as it is not out. Her product is working as we told her it was. Her stating we are selling a fraudulent        product is false as there are many homes that have it and it works great. I believe she bought it hoping it would keep her house cool without needing AC which is not the case. This has also been a lot hotter summer than the past. What causes homes to get so hot in the summer is the attic heats up to 130-180 degrees and then heats up inside the house. Her house would be a lot warmer than outside if the barrier was not working. When the radiant barrier is installed the temperature inside will usually be the same as out side or cooler but very rarely hotter with the barrier installed. This is because they will still get heat from the walls, windows and doors. I hope this makes sense. With no barrier her house would be a lot warmer. We believe this is working correctly and her pictures she sent prove that. Thank you for your help in clearing this up. I have attached the pictures she sent showing it is working properly. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
