Review: I paid for an office visit, because of a deductible, I overpaid was due some money back, they have not paid back what was due.

On 6/21/13 I accompanied my 19 year old daughter to the office of Dr [redacted] for an appointment. After providing our insurance information I was informed that there was a deductible and that the office visit would be $209.60, we really couldn't afford it, but I went ahead and paid the full amount, with my debit card, they would not take a check, I have the receipt for the payment. Went ahead with the appointment and left. A few weeks later I received an Explanation of Benefits stating that our responsibility was only $162.65. So I placed a call to the doctors office to see about getting the difference back, there was no answer, so I left a message. I did finally receive a call back from the office, around the beginning of August, I don't remember the name of the girl I spoke to, but she said, yes I was due the difference and they would send a check. I put in the back of my mind and figured the check would show up, well around the end of September I realized nothing had come, so I called the office on 9/27/13, no answer, left a message. I gave plenty of time for them to either call me or send a check, but neither happened. On 10/22/13 I went to the office in person, spoke to the receptionist, she said the person who does their billing wasn't there, but she guaranteed me someone would call me and this would be taken care of. It is now November 2 and I have heard nothing from anyone. I understand this is a small amount of money, but businesses shouldn't treat customers like this, I don't care how much money is involved.Desired Settlement: I just want the money that is due me. $46.95
