I have talked to MrBooks and we will be sending replacement capacitors as a good will gestureThey will be validated before shipmentI trust this will resolve any issue

In regard to the case ID in the subject heading, I just wanted to follow up to let you know that I have been communicating with our customer, The Trane Company, in regard to this complaint. Reason being, our product warranty is administered through our customers Our warranty extends only
to Trane, to whom we sold the subject motor Thus, I asked that Trane investigate with the individual to ascertain the situation and advise as the motor in question would be supported by their product's parts/labor warranty They have been in contact with him since 11/13. My current understanding of status is that their customer relations department is reviewing his complaint. Review: My Trane air conditioning system has a Genteq X13 blower motor that has failed twice in a 6 year period. Both repairs cost me over $1,000 each. After contacting Genteq support, I was told this is a common problem; however, there is no solution but to keep replacing the motors when they fail. This obviously has been a very inconvenient and costly situation.

Since all my research has indicated that this type of failure is very common, I do not understand why no solution has ever been presented to the consumer or service companies.Desired Settlement: Genteq and Trane have told me that they are not in the business of providing any type of solution to this problem. I have requested reimbursement of the repairs, parts replacement, and assistance from Trane. My final solution has been to replace the motor with a PSC (Permanent Split Capacitor) motor, capacitor, and relay. This should take care of the problem; however, it has been very inconvenient, time consuming, and costly for me. No help has been provided by both Trane or Genteq except that they agreed that replacing the X13 with a PSC motor would be an acceptable solution.
