Review: Two young men came to my home on June 19th, 2013 soliciting my business. They explained how they could save me money if I would switch from [redacted] to [redacted] and that I would recieve the same channels. I agreed to do this and paid a $50.00 "activation fee" with a personal check. The next day the technician came to install the new reciever and satellite dish and, upon further questioning, he disclosed that I would not have access to several channels we currently enjoy. I canceled the order and inquired about having the $50.00 fee returned. The technician assured me he would have the young men return my check within a "day or two." This did not happen. I tried to reach Regal Satellite offices several times without success and finally call [redacted]. They canceled my order, but informed me that I would have to go through the retail business (Regal Satellite) to get a refund. I finally was able to reach that office by phone at ###-###-####. The person to whom I spoke was extremely rude, but when I insisted on speaking to someone with the authority to give me a refund, she provided me with a phone number, ###-###-####, for one of the young men whose first name is [redacted] or [redacted]. I called this number and left a message. A few days later I recieved a voice mail message from the other young man ([redacted]) from phone number ###-###-#### informing me a check for the $50.00 was "in the mail." This was on June 25th,2013. I still have not received this check. I called [redacted] on July 2, 2013 at which time he verified my mailing address and promised to check to see if "they" had sent the refund. It is now July 11th, 2013 and I have still not received the refund or been able to speak to anyone at Regal Satellite because they don't answer my calls. At some point I had looked up the email address and sent an email as well, but I don't recall the exact date.Desired Settlement: I want my $50.00 "activation fee" returned to me as soon as possible. I want the money in the form of a cashier's check as I do not trust that this organization will send a viable personal or company check.

Response:

Thank you for your inquiry to the Revdex.com. This is the first the company has heard of this. Do you have any documentation proving the activation fee was paid or was deposited? If you can forward on a check image of some sort and it was taken from one of our contractors we will make sure you get 100% refunded.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Sales rep came to door saying he was with Dish Network offering to replace receivers and dish to update. I asked to see his credintals and it said Regal Satellite. I said NO.

Review: The sales representative from Regal Satellite stated on 03/06/14 " we will be upgrading you to the new genie on 03/07/14 around 8 am - 10 am." The representative said that he would be setting up the account with information that was not linked with my current [redacted] account so there won't be any problems getting it setup. He also stated " He boss said that it was ok to do that, so he set the account up with using my next door neighbor's address when he called it in." Then he stated " if there was any problems to call his cell phone." On 03/07/14 the install technicians showed up and installed the [redacted] box. I didn't notice till after they left that they just installed the same box I had before, it was not the new Genie box. So I called the sales representative and left a voice mail stating that I was not happy with the install because it was not the box I was told we were getting and to have it picked up and cancel the account, plus he said he was going to set up a gmail account and email me the information to access it. I never received the information, and my girlfriend got a voicemail from [redacted] stating the the email for the account did not exist. Then the regal satellite representative left a voicemail on my house phone stating that he didn't respond right away because he didn't have his phone with him and he also had walking pneumonia and that he said he told me that we would be getting the Genie after 30 days. Which he said no such thing otherwise I would have said no to the installation right then and there. I tried calling him back, but got his voicemail again so I left another voicemail stating to pick up the equipment and cancel my account. He stated " we don't charge a cancelation fee because the company doesn't feel the customer should be charge for something they don't or no longer want with in a reasonable time". No one has come to get the equipment and today charge for $50.52 showed up on my bank account which shouldn't be there if the sales representative was true to the agreement he stated and did what he said he would do. The service and response from this company (Regal Satellite) is less than poor at best.Desired Settlement: The outcome I'm looking for is to have someone pick up the equipment, cancel my account, and credit my bank account back the $1.00 to verify my card and the $50.52 for a service I'm not using because it should have been cancelled on 03/08/14 if the sales representative was true to his word about " go through me, I'll take good card of you." Because of this experience I'll never recommend this company to anyone especially if the above stated outcome does not happen.

Review: I was interested in doing business with Regal and Dish Network for both T.V. and Internet services. The sales representative sold both of these services to me without explaining the restrictions on Data. I explained to him that it would be used primarily for my handicaped son and that we where swithching service providers for internet gaming capabilities. While the satelite was being insatlled the instaler corrected the sales persons information and I asked for all of the equipment to be removed and taken back. The instaler convinced me to keep the product for a free three day trial period and I agreed. At the end of the three days I aksed for it all to be removed and called Dish Network to cancell service. Dish informend me that there was no way out of the contract. [redacted], the owner of Regal Stelite agreed to "handle" the problem and agreed to pay the bill if he was not able rectify the problem with Dish. [redacted] had us change the billing iformation to include his address and remove my own. I recently had my credit report ran and found that he had not paid any of these fees as promised which left me owing Dish over a thousand dollars. I should also state that Regal removed all of the eqipment at the time of this complaint meaning that I did not recieve any of the Dish services that I was billed for.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] at Regal Satelite to be resposible for the bill with Dish Network.

Review: Regal Satellite came and made a contract with me for TV Internet and telephone bundle for one low price. After installation I was billed a higher amount from the satellite provider and the bundling was never completed.Desired Settlement: Regal should pay the early termination fee and all fees involved with the internet service that was misrepresented.

Response:

Thank you for the letter. Can you be more specific about what was promised and what was not delivered? Since you were an existing [redacted] customer all of the bundling goes through [redacted]. Adding [redacted] internet service to your package does lower the overall price. If you made other changes to your bill then it would be reflected as well.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

On August 3 three men in a truck advertising [redacted] came to my house and told me that they had a bundling deal that would provide me with Internet, satellite TV and [redacted] telephone for 99.00 a month. I agreed to the deal and they set up the services on August 6. The DVR they provided did not work so they returned the following day to complete the installation. On that day the service guys told me that they had called [redacted] and set up the bundling package as indicated on the contract. All the times they were here my friends and family were also here and were interested to learn about this great deal.

When I received my first bill in September there was a bill from [redacted] that included 129.26 for the first month and monthly charges of 96.98 following. I also received a phone bill from [redacted] that was completely separate. I called [redacted] and they told me that they did not bundle with [redacted] net. I called [redacted] net and they stated that they could not charge any less then 96.98 a month for internet and TV.

The contract I have from Regal Satellite shows that I should be receiving internet and TV service for 50 dollars a month for the next two years. It also shows that I received 2 DVRs a Hopper and a Joey. As far as I know I only received one DVR that operates two TV's and a Modem for the dish net.

At this time I have cancelled my [redacted]Net service and they are billing me 385.00 for early cancellation. I am disputing this because I did not receive the package I agreed to.

I would like Regal Satellite to be held responsible for the 385.00 early cancellation fee from [redacted]Net and any other fees I may be billed for related to [redacted] net . I don't want this to happen to any one else.

Regards,
