Review: I went to see this movie theater to see the man of steel movie for a 5:00pm showing on 6/**/13.I brought the tickets they were price 14.50 each I brought two tickets. but when the time came to go. I went towards the room they were showing. but little I didn't know was there was a huge line waiting to get in. A really long line at that. by the time they let people go in there was totally not enough seats for everyone. there were more people than seats. I saying to myself, this place shouldn't kept selling tickets knowing that there was not enough room for more people than expect. so I got real angry and went to the booth to ask change to another time which was 5:51pm showing and they said it was sold out. they said would you like a 7pm one. I said no I want a refund back they said they can only do credit charge back and I have to wait 5-7 days! this is unfair I paid by debit card I should be allowed cash back. it wasted my time to have to wait on long line and wasting my time. We are in receipt of the consumer complaint filed by [redacted] regarding his visit on June **, 2013 to the Company's Union Square 14 theatre. Please note that we take all such complaints seriously and have investigated the facts and issues raised in his complaint. We apologize for our failure to meet [redacted]'s expectations during his visit, and appreciate the opportunity to respond to his concerns.

[redacted] makes several allegations in his complaint regarding his visit. He alleges the theatre sold tickets in excess of the seating capacity in the auditorium he was to view his movie. He also claims when he requested a refund that he was denied a cash refund, as he had paid with a card (unknown whether it was a credit card or debit card, as he claims), and that he would have to wait 5-7 days for the refund.

According to our investigation, the auditorium [redacted] attempted to watch his movie in was not oversold. The Company's computer terminals are set to alert the box office cashiers of a "sellout" prior to reaching the auditorium's seating capacity. We confirmed that ticket sales for [redacted]'s movie/showtime were less than that threshold, and therefore seats were available. With regard to [redacted]'s refund, the theatre processed his refund during his visit. While he requested a cash refund, the Company will only provide a cash refund on a purchase that was made with cash. Due to [redacted]

purchasing his tickets with a card, he was not given a cash refund but received the refund on his card. The theatre processed his refund during his visit. Due to the theatre receiving phone calls in the past from patrons regarding their refunds, they notify all patrons receiving card refunds that it may be delayed due to their banking institution. The refunds are timely processed by the Company, however the theatre has been contacted by patrons who experienced delays due to their banking intuitions applying the credit.

Regardless, based on [redacted]'s complaint and the information we obtained, it appears we have differing information regarding his visit. Again, we apologize for failing to meet [redacted]'s expectations and the Company would like to offer [redacted] the enclosed complimentary passes for him to return to the theatre as a guest of Regal.
