There is no other compliment to an apartment community than a long term residentA person living here for over 5+ years is quite the complimentWith all the years this person has lived here, I am pleased that we have had a positive living environment for them to enjoy. In response to the complaint, we were forced to enforce our current parking policy and make changes to the current policy effective February 1st We were forced to make this enforcement/change due to our residents (lease holders) not having enough parking available to them, as non-lease holders (visitors) we're taking up any available open space parkingResidents coming home late in the evening, and on evenings when there was bad weather, they had no available parkingSome felt compelled to park in reserved parking or handicap parking, which resulted in them being towedOur parking tag policy, signed by all residents, is each resident that has a registered vehicle with Regency Park receives a hanging parking tag, which must be displayed while the vehicle is on the propertyThe change that we incorporated is that any vehicles parked behind our gates must display their Regency Park issued parking tag, or park in the designated visitor parking area, or they are subject to being towed We then opened designated visitor parking areas on all four sides of the communityThere are a total of visitor parking spaces, plus an additional parking spaces in front of our office This change and enforcement went into effect on February 1, The first notification of the change was sent to every resident’s door on January 6, Second notice: On the days of January 13-16, 2015, depending on the apartment building number, this same notification was taped to the inside of each apartment home front door, which is required by lawThird notice: Was then posted in our February newsletter, which was issued and placed on each apartment home door on January 30, On January 28th proper signage was posed at the entrance and the exit of the property and the designated visitor spaces were markedForth notification of the parking policy was put in our March newsletter, which was placed on each apartment home door on February 26, I believe the tow that is mentioned happened on the evening of February 27, 2015This person admitted their cousin had parked behind the gate and not in the designated visitor parking-which resulted in the legal tow As far as the tow truck company’s employees, I have no control over their employees or their behaviorAll of our notifications of the change in parking policy is within the current laws as well as our signage. We appreciate all resident referrals to our community, and again, that is another compliment to us that a resident would refer a friend to our communityHowever, the referral this person is referencing, our documentation clearly states they were “escorted to our community by a locator” which, by law, if we were offering compensation to locators, we must pay applicable fees, which we didI feel this complaint in unwarranted and frivolous

There is no other compliment to an apartment community
than a long term resident. A person living here for over 5+ years is quite
the compliment. With all the years this person has lived here, I am pleased
that we have had a positive living environment for them to enjoy. In response to the...

complaint, we were forced to enforce
our current parking policy and make changes to the current policy effective
February 1st 2015. We were forced to make this enforcement/change
due to our residents (lease holders) not having enough parking available to
them, as non-lease holders (visitors) we're taking up any available
open space parking. Residents coming home late in the evening, and on evenings
when there was bad weather, they had no available parking. Some felt
compelled to park in reserved parking or handicap parking, which
resulted in them being towed. Our parking tag policy, signed by all
residents, is each resident that has a registered vehicle with Regency Park
receives a hanging parking tag, which must be displayed
while the vehicle is on the property. The change that we incorporated
is that  any vehicles parked behind
our gates must display their Regency Park issued parking tag, or park in the
designated visitor parking area, or they are subject to being
towed.  We then opened designated visitor parking areas on all
four sides of the community. There are a total of 29 visitor parking spaces,
plus an additional 14 parking spaces in front of our office.  This change and enforcement went into effect on February 1, 2015. The first
notification of the change was sent to every resident’s door on January 6, 2015.
Second notice: On the days of January 13-16, 2015, depending on the apartment
building number, this same notification was taped to the inside of each apartment home front door, which is required
by law. Third notice: Was then posted in our February newsletter, which was
issued and placed on each apartment home door on January 30, 2015. On January
28th proper signage was posed at the entrance and the exit of the
property and the designated visitor spaces were marked. Forth notification of
the parking policy was put in our March newsletter, which was placed on each
apartment home door on February 26, 2015. I believe the tow that is mentioned
happened on the evening of February 27, 2015This person admitted their cousin had parked behind the
gate and not in the designated visitor parking-which resulted in the legal tow.
As far as the tow truck company’s employees, I have no control over their
employees or their behavior. All of our notifications of the change in parking policy
is within the current laws as well as our signage. We appreciate all resident referrals to our community,
and again, that is another compliment to us that a resident would refer a
friend to our community. However, the referral this person is referencing,  our documentation clearly states they were
“escorted to our community by a locator” which, by law, if we were offering
compensation to locators, we must pay applicable fees, which we did. I feel this complaint in unwarranted and frivolous.
