We required an install of a new gas cooktop range Wanting to support a local business we called Veridis The install went smoothly, and we were happy with the results While the install was taking place, the technician questioned if we required a gas fireplace and hot water tank cleaning service I booked an appointment for both Upon inspection of the hot water tank, we were advised we required a new one, as the one we had reached it's recommended life span This tank had been installed years previous, we were told that because of the water in our area they tend to expire earlier than the year span We advised that we had a water filter treatment system, at which point the tech called someone to come give us a quote on a new water treatment system Upon completion of the fireplace cleaning, we were fairly satisfied with the service The next day, we turned the fireplace on, noticing that for some reason the gas on switch and the fan switch were now reversed? The gas stayed on for about min, then shut off, as well as the pilot light going off also I called Veridis to report there was an issue with the fireplace They rescheduled the tech to come back, he replaced a part The pilot flame now burns RED, we'd never seen this before, also the flame was turned up so high that it created a black soot mark on the brick at the back (something that had never happened before) When replacing the 'logs' they were put back incorrectly, and the white on the bottoms is now exposed Then we received the invoice, we were charged for the "fix" of the first job A total over $ [redacted] for a "cleaning" and a new part I spoke with the office, not at ANY time did they offer any explanation nor a discount To say that because cleaning can expose parts to fail is ridiculous If I had of been told up front that there was a likelihood that my fireplace would no longer be useable I would have reconsidered having this "maintenance" done!

After moving to Mill Bay in 2012, I was on the lookout for a reliable local plumber My partner and I firmly believe in supporting local businesses in the community where we liveI noticed a clean Veridis van in the brand new development to which we had moved and noted the phone number printed on the side of itSince we would need to have our on-demand water heater annually serviced I decided to take a chance and call Veridis to set up an appointment
Take a chance! - we struck 'gold' Not only is Veridis "Reliable - Honest - Efficient" as they advertised; they are skilled, on budget as quoted (reasonable & no overruns), on time as scheduled, clean, tidy, respectful of the property and home, polite, friendly and totally personable *** and/or ***, who also attended some of the jobs, are totally patient and attentive to questions and take the time to clearly answer them The job is clearly outlined and explained beforehand As well, *** always does follon jobs to be reassured that the customer is happy and satisfiedCouldn't ask for more
With our on-demand water heater serviced; we subsequently had *** install a GREAT de-chlorinator and water softener system in our home - what a treat: no more shower sm, stained toilets, sinks & dishwasher; superb for laundry, and great on the skin when showeringAnd then, we had two toilets (two that the builder had installed) removed and replaced with new fixtures recommended by *** Each job was beautifully & cleanly executed in every detail including removal and disposal of parts and packing
We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Veridis Plumbing and Heating to anyone looking for absolutely professional, reliable, efficient service and quality workmanship

We required an install of a new gas cooktop range. Wanting to support a local business we called Veridis. The install went smoothly, and we were happy with the results. While the install was taking place, the technician questioned if we required a gas fireplace and hot water tank cleaning service. I booked an appointment for both. Upon inspection of the hot water tank, we were advised we required a new one, as the one we had reached it's recommended life span. This tank had been installed 8 years previous, we were told that because of the water in our area they tend to expire earlier than the 10 year span. We advised that we had a water filter treatment system, at which point the tech called someone to come give us a quote on a new water treatment system.

Upon completion of the fireplace cleaning, we were fairly satisfied with the service. The next day, we turned the fireplace on, noticing that for some reason the gas on switch and the fan switch were now reversed? The gas stayed on for about 3 min, then shut off, as well as the pilot light going off also. I called Veridis to report there was an issue with the fireplace. They rescheduled the tech to come back, he replaced a part

The pilot flame now burns RED, we'd never seen this before, also the flame was turned up so high that it created a black soot mark on the brick at the back (something that had never happened before) When replacing the 'logs' they were put back incorrectly, and the white on the bottoms is now exposed.

Then we received the invoice, we were charged for the "fix" of the first job. A total over $[redacted] for a "cleaning" and a new part. I spoke with the office, not at ANY time did they offer any explanation nor a discount.

To say that because cleaning can expose parts to fail is ridiculous. If I had of been told up front that there was a likelihood that my fireplace would no longer be useable I would have reconsidered having this "maintenance" done!

I recently phoned Verdis Plumbing & Heating to get a plumber in to connect a gas stove. I told there Office what had to be done, the size of gas line and the fact it was [redacted] to Stove and had hole through floor ready. Their Tech showed up at [redacted] to do job. He Did checks for capacity, isolated Furnace and started to place copper line. It wasn't until after he cut the gas he realized he could not use his flairing tool in space available to do connection. He then phoned to ask his Boss about Brazing but was lacking solder so he was to bring for him, he then mounted regulator by stove and was ready to solder but no solder yet. He talked on ** other unrelated phone calls while upstairs for approx [redacted] and then down to his truck to have his thermos and when I asked about paying while waiting, he said yes the customer is responsible for [redacted] Wow This is a professional I am paying [redacted] an hour and he shows up without the Basics for Install and then makes it my problem to pay for. I phoned The office right away and They said they will talk about with manager? but on receiving invoice It was total time spent even while waiting for solder and dealing with other jobs while Im paying the hourly. In fact if I never asked about he would not have told me anything. My Roomate and myself have [redacted] years in Customer service and [redacted].. Tech was leaving at [redacted] for a total of ** hours [redacted] minutes and I was billed for [redacted] with [redacted] minutes of waiting for Basic Plumbing supplies and Telephone calls from other jobs. I will pay invoice today but will not recommend Veridise and their labour gouging practises to anyone looking for Fair treatment. It was not only the [redacted]$ but the fact they made their own rules and never listened to reason.
