Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Simply put, he's lyingHe told me he 1) would consult with experts re/the Indian jewelry and the rare books and would get back to me before proceeding on some of those individual items 2) He would be selling these items at multiple estate sales, one in the West Hills and subsequently one in Eastmoreland 3) My ex-wife and I have a good relationshipin fact it is she who recommended Regent Estates due to a friend's recommendation We simply didn't have a truck to carry the table He has her contact informationhe could have picked up the phone to arrange delivery 4) He told me that they would inventory and photograph every item but despite my request, he has provided no accounting of the details As this dragged out for months, he then began ignoring my calls and emails asking for settlement and an accounting Cashing the check and accepting partial payment does not close this issue out (I've verified this with my attorney.) I can see from the Revdex.com that he has had similar issues in the past with other clients so clearly this is a pattern of fraudulent behavior My next steps will be to take this to the courts for the contractual issue and to the police for the theft.Sincerely, [redacted]
AS STATED IN MY CONTRACT, ITEMS CONSIGNED WERE TO BE OFFERED FOR SALE INTO AN ESTATE SALE PRICED AT A FAIR MARKET VALUE FOR AN WEEKEND ESTATE SALE. WE ARE NOT FULL RETAIL SHOP SO LIMITED TO TIME FRAME TO SELL ANY ITEM. ALL ITEMS THAT DID NOT SELL WERE TO BE DONATED AND NOT CARRIED FROM...
SALE TO SALE. I PICKED THE STICKLEY TABLE AS A FAVOR FOR THIS CLIENT TO DELIVER TO HIS EX WIFE. WHICH SHE HAS NOT FOLLOWED THROUGH WITH A TIME FRAME FOR IT TO BE DELIVERED. THIS TABLE IS NOT STOLEN IT IS WAITING FOR HIS EX WIFE ([redacted] (503-[redacted]) TO RECEIVE. SINCE HE AND SHE DO NOT GET ALONG FOR HER TO PICK IT UP AT HIS RESIDENCE. AN OBVIOUS FAVOR ON MY PART HAS TURNED INTO A NIGHTMARE. THE VALUE OF THE CONSIGNMENT AND OR RESERVE PRICES WERE NOT STATED IN THE CONTRACT. ITEMS WERE SOLD AT FAIR MARKET VALUE FOR A TWO DAY SALE, AND NOT AT INSURED VALUE. I SOLD AS MUCH OF HIS CONSIGNMENTS AS WE COULD. WE CAN NOT MAKE THE PUBLIC BUY USED MERCHANDISE. THE MARKET IS WHAT IT IS ON SUCH ITEMS. THE FINAL STATEMENT AND CHECK WERE MAILED AND ACCEPTED BY THE CLIENT. HE HAS CASHED THE CHECK.
