Advertising on the radio that they are the only jeweler that gives people a choice of diamonds, between earth mined and natural diamondsThis simply isnt true, jewelers all over the Saint Cloud area offer both options just as they do
It is misleading to customers

I'm disappointed with communication I've had with this company recentlyMy husband and I purchased my engagement ring from wedding day and upgraded the diamond a few years laterI was extremely satisfied with the customer service we received, I had nothing but good things to say about Wedding DayUnfortunately, when my husband and I looked into upgrading my ring again, we were told for the first time that our diamond was not eligibleMost of the communication at this point was with General Manager Candace ***I didn't appreciate that she continually tried to convince me that I "must have forgotten" being told about the eligibility; I clearly remember never having this explained to usCandace offered to assist in upgrading as an exception, but the only options she presented were double the price of my ringMy own research of the market found a large number of diamonds that fit the criteria I wanted and were well within my price range, but Candace essentially shrugged this off

No guarantee on product
Always brought my rings to them for checksIf there was a loose prong or bent ring they would repair it at no costNow after like or years I broke a prong and have loose prong and they are gonna charge me to repair the ringI guess if you bought your jewlery years ago they do not guarantee it as all other jewlers I have ever dealt withThey do not stand by their products unless you pay more money for themI will never buy from them or recommend then to anyoneI called and was told well back then we did not sell as much rings as we do nowSo I guess the more you sell the better the guarantee

On April 13, 2018 my husband and I attempted to sell our 2013 *** with Regina Auto Auction. Our goal was to use the money to buy a van for our growing family. We informed the office that we wanted to sell for $7200. The bid stopped at $5500, we rejected the offer and informed the front office that we would like to rerun the following week for the same reserve price and the lady at the front office had no issues and agreed. On April 20, we returned and the vehicle was one of the first and ready to go. The auctioneer proceeded to describe our vehicle as a 2011 and started the bid at $1000 and ended at $2500. My husband and I immediately went to the office to express our concern that was way below the reserve price and we couldn't sell the Car for such low amount. We were instructed to wait until the end. I continuously tried to talk to the front office in tears because this is my family's only vehicle. *** nobody offered to help. At the end of auction that day we were directed to talk to ***. He said he would try to help. He went into the office and came back a few times saying we couldn't get our car and there was nothing that could be done, despite the FACT that their website clearly states that Regina auto auction has the final say on all sales. In this case, they had made a mistake ***
I was persistent and said I wasn't leaving without my car, MY property. Eventually, *** said he could pay $750 to the "buyer" and we could leave with the car and we could repay him and if not that was ok (***). We didn't sign anything about this arrangement. We just wanted our car ***. We left with our car. Fast forward a couple of months, *** has been calling, *** us to pay him the $750.

Desired Outcome

I want *** from Regina Auto Auction to leave me, my family and our vehicle alone. We will not be giving him or Regina Auto Auction any money.

Regina Auto Auction Response • Jul 10, 2018

Unfortunately this lady did not read or follow our terms. They consigned their vehicle to the auction and they came to the auction before it started and gave *** the ringman their reserve price. The vehicle did not sell. As our terms state, if it does not sell we list it back into the next weeks sale and the customer must repeat the same procedure by attending the sale and giving their reserve price. If any vehicle is not represented to give the ringman a reserve price, it sells to the top bidder at the auction. That is what happened. The buyer signed and paid for the vehicle in question here. Then these people wanted their vehicle back. It is not legal for us to annul a sale so we tried to get the new owner to give it back. He refused to do so. Then our ringman *** on his own, worked out a deal with the new purchaser that he would give back the vehicle if he was paid $750 dollars. *** paid the buyer so these folks could get their vehicle back with the understanding they would pay him back when they were able. This has nothing to do with Regina Auto Auction. *** is a sub-contracter that works for the duration of the auction sale only. Any issue with repayment is between them and him.
If you would like to read our terms go to www.reginaautoauction.com and under the heading "seller" you can read our terms. I think you will see they are very plain and easy to follow. Unfortunately this lady did not read and follow what is required to sell a vehicle in our auction. If folks don't understand the auction process they should ask a lot of questions. We will not lead anyone astray.

Customer Response • Jul 12, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is incorrect because a reserve price was provided on the same day it did not sell. We repeated the same process as the first day ***

*** acted on behalf of your company. I clearly stated I was on maternity leave and this was my family's only vehicle. Your company did not put a reserve price but somehow got our request to rerun the car. Again, I will REPEAT we provided both the instructions to rerun and the reserve price that's how the car got on the list. If there was human error and this did not appear on the list then I should not have to pay for it. Secondly, as a business owner, if your policies and procedures have caused this *** situation then you should revisit them to see how you can better protect the public ***. What if the consumer was in an accident on their way there? You would say the customer did not show up hence I'm giving away their vehicle for the highest bid of $1.
***, your employee, in your uniform acted on your behalf and represents you. He claims he was paying the fees to get the vehicle back ***. I will commend him for "trying" to make it right. For that reason I thought he was the owner. He was the only person he seemed a bit concerned.

What I have an issue with is he said we didn't have to worry and didn't have to pay him but if we are able to great. I continuously told him I was on mat leave and I'm not paying anything and wanted my only vehicle back and he kept saying don't worry about it. Fast forward a couple of months he's been spamming our phone with phone calls ***. Again, we did not make any arrangements with your employee, nor did we physically accept any cash from him. ***
Finally, you auctioneer described the vehicle, he described the vehicle as a 2011 ( this is on camera). If we are getting technical he sold the wrong vehicle and not my 2013 ***. This might explain why he started a bid so low. ***. Could the business have called the customer if they had good intentions if indeed no reserve price was provided? They had all our information for a whole week. Even though like I've continuously stated we did provide this information but it was not written down. I am not paying any money that I did not physically obtain from an employee of your company. You can't even take responsibility for actions taking place at your place of business.

It seems we are going around in circles. 1. This customer stated they gave their reserve the same day we did not sell their vehicle due to not meeting the reserve. As our terms state, that is not when you give reserve for second attempt of auctioning. You must attend the second auction sale and give your reserve to the ringman that is working that sale. 2. *** did not act on behalf of our company, he acted on his own. The buyer offered to give the car back if re-embersed and *** decided to help out by paying that and getting these folks their car back. 3. Our policies are very clear for EVERYONE. " The vehicle will be booked back into the next sale and all conditions from first sale need to be followed." If no representation has spoken to the ringman, the vehicle will sell to the highest bidder regardless of the price. Yes, even if the person is held away because of a car accident. We have a phone to receive calls.4.*** was not the only one that acted concerned. I myself and another of the owners tried to get the vehicle back, but the purchaser refused to start with. There is nothing I can do once a successful bidder is the last bid on a vehicle and I say sold. Then the new purchaser signs a legal bill of sales and pays for the vehicle. It would be totally illegal for me to annul the transaction. When they then offered to give the vehicle back for a fee, I presented this to the folks. By this time we had reached a solid wall with them and going no where. That is when *** offered to pay the fee through our bank machine so we could forward the money to purchaser. I can supply the debit record ***.5. Does it not seem a little ridiculous that a stranger would offer to pay this debt and not receive anything back in repayment. I have discussed this with *** and he says that is completely false. He also said the husband told him to phone back at a further date, hense the further phone calls. There is a lot of info being left out here. *** would be happy to discuss this with Revdex.com if you are interested.6. We do not phone customers that do not leave a reserve. We sell a lot of vehicles unreserved at every auction. How are we to know someone has not left a reserve. We don't write down peoples reserves, they are verbaslly given to the ringman each Sat. 7. As far as leaving these people alone, we have not contacted them since they got their vehicle back, nor do we intend to. What goes on between them and *** is none of our business. He is the only one out on this deal. My suggestion is that these people answer their phone and talk to *** and solve their issues with owing him money. It is very unfortunate that these people didn't follow our terms and they found themselves in this predicament.

car has transmission problem and reported in 1 hr's test drive, purchase should be cancelled and refund money in full to customerOn Aug 5, 2014, I paid Regina Auto Auction $3743.25 for [redacted] (VIN [redacted]). At 4:30pm, I received the key of the car and was told by Staff that I was allowed till 5:35pm for 1 hour's test drive. If there are transmission problems, I must report within 1 hr's test drive. Phone message is acceptable if time passed 5:00pm when office is closed. I called in at 4:43pm stating the car cannot accelerate beyond 100km on highway. Staff told me to bring the car to office on the early morning of next day. I called in at 5:26pm and left message for the second issue of the car: the car cannot reverse. If reverse, the car engine stop working and dead. Have to restart the car.On Aug 6, 2014, I returned the car to Regina Auto Auction at 9:00am.Regina Auto Auction didn't agree the car has transmission problems and refuse to refund money. The car is with Regina Auto Auction since then.the car has transmission problems based on 2 facts:Fact1: the car cannot accelerate beyond 100km on highwayFact2: the car cannot reverse. If reverse, the car engine stop working and dead. Have to restart the car.The test drive failed and reported within 1 hr of test drive. Thus the purchase transaction was cancelled. Money should be fully refund to me right away.Desired Settlementfully refund the money I paid which is $3743.25 Business Response [redacted]This customer did follow the correct procedure for arbitrating a transmission problem within the proper time frame required by her according to our terms. Unfortunately the problem with the van we determined, was not transmission related.Any customer disputing our decision is free to take vehicle to accredited transmission shop and we will honor the shops decision. This customer refused to do this as well as refused to accept help in negotiating with consignor [redacted]. We recommend customers get keys and check out any of the vehicles in the auction prior to sale and this customer admitted she had not done this, This van had a check engine light on when it was consigned and when she purchased it. That means the engine is throwing some kind of code. When we took it for a test drive, following her complaint, we found the engine does have a power issue which results in the van taking longer than normal to reach highway speeds, but we did get it well over 100 kms/hr. It stalls when put in reverse usually the first time, meaning engine difficulty. All forward gears and reverse work fine. Our terms state arbitration on missing gears or slippage in transmission only, everything else is "as is where is". Normal auction practice. This customer did not do her due diligence and we feel we followed our proper advertised business procedures as always, properly representing ourselves and the consignor of the vehicle in question.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This statement is not true: "We recommend customers get keys and check out any of the vehicles in the auction prior to sale"I was told by the office lady, only when money was fully paid and insurance purchased, then given the key and test the car.I said the test drive is a failure and the Regina Auto Auction didn't agree it is transmission problem. To resolve the dispute, can Regina Auto Auction allow me to take out the car for outside mechanic check? considering the car wasn't driven near a month, can Regina Auto Auction help to boost the car or other means to make it drivable if needed? After the mechanic check, if it is not transmission problem, I will keep the car. if it is transmission problem, I'll return the car to Regina Auto Auction and asking for full refund. pls. advise. Final Business Response This customer can take the vehicle and get it checked out by a credited transmission shop at her expense if she so wishes. She has paid for the vehicle in full and it is hers to do with it whatever she wishes. We will boost the vehicle if it is required so she can take it. We cannot refund her any monies as we have paid out the consignor a long time ago. If she wishes any recourse on this van, she must deal directly with the consignor which we recommended she do and we would assist her with that,on Aug 6/14. We also recommended she take it to a credited shop as I stated to you in my prior statement. She totally refused [redacted]. We charge $5.00 per day storage fees on any vehicles left at our compound. That is also stated in the terms she received. That amount would now be $150, but I will not charge her these fees under these circumstances. [redacted]
